Friday Meme’s ~ The Woman in the Window
Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
Anna Fox lives alone, a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times–and spying on her neighbors.
Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, a mother, and their teenage son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn’t, her world begins to crumble—and its shocking secrets are laid bare.
What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping thriller, no one—and nothing—is what it seems.
I will be starting this one today and I really hope it’s a good one as it is an anticipated read but I haven’t had a lot of luck with mine so far this year so I am worried.
Her husband’s almost home. He’ll catch her this time. There isn’t a scrap of curtain, not a blade of blind, in number 212- the rust-red townhome that once housed the newlywed Motts, until recently, until they un-wed. I never met either Mott, but occasionally I check in online: his LinkedIn profile, her Facebook page. Their wedding registry lives on at Macy’s. I could still buy them flatware.
She sounds a bit like a stalker!
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
I retreat from the sill and stand there, washed in dim noonday light. Again I look across the park. Nothing. Empty rooms. But I’m tense, waiting for her to appear, waiting for her to look back at me.
Um, still sounding like a stalker!!
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
What authors have you met and where?
I met several authors at BEA in 2016 and that is the only time I have ever been able to meet authors. I can’t remember all of them but my two favorites where Brenda Novak and Heather Graham! 🙂
