Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
School, on the other hand, isn’t quite as simple. Between her frustrating teacher Ms. Conn and her overly helpful classmate Nina, Iris can’t seem to catch a break.
But during science class, Iris learns about Blue 55—the loneliest whale in the world. Saddened by the animal’s inability to speak to other whales, Iris uses her tech skills to come up with a plan communicate with Blue 55.
One small problem: the whale is swimming off the coast of Alaska, nearly 3,000 miles from her Texas home. But, nothing stops Iris, and with her Deaf grandmother by her side, she sets out on a road trip to meet the whale and make sure he’s finally heard.
Have a blog tour spot coming up on the 11th so I needed to get this one read.
So Iris was named after a whale who died while being beached because the whale couldn’t communicate and got disoriented. Kind of sad.
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
Iris had been in trouble for shoving another girl who was annoying her so she had her radio things taken from her and was just getting them back.
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Do you have celebrations for your blog’s anniversary such as a giveaway?
No like most things I don’t even remember when I started my blog I just know it was a long time ago…lol.

This whole book sounds kind of sad. I don’t know if I can handle sad whales!
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
I’m not sure if this book is for me. I’m with Barb on the not being able to handle sad whales. It does sound like it has a lot of potential and could be fantastic but I’ll wait for your opinion.
Freda
