Friday Meme’s Miss Ellicott’s School for the Magically Minded
Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
Chantel would much rather focus on her magic than on curtsying, which is why she often finds herself in trouble at Miss Ellicott’s School for Magical Maidens. But when Miss Ellicott mysteriously disappears along with all the other sorceresses in the city, Chantel’s behavior becomes the least of her problems.
Without any magic protecting the city, it is up to Chantel and her friends to save the Kingdom. On a dangerous mission, Chantel will discover a crossbow-wielding boy, a dragon, and a new, fiery magic that burns inside her—but can she find the sorceresses and transform Lightning Pass into the city it was meant to be?
Just started this one so I don’t have an opinion on it yet but I hope it’s good.
A secret nearly cost Chantel her life, on a dark summer morning when the rains ran down the stairstepped stone streets of Lightning Pass.
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
The dragon flapped down just low enough to set Chantel on a rock in the sea. For a moment she stood and gasped, catching her breath.
Well, now that sounds interesting. 🙂
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Name a book that changed your life.
To be honest I can’t really think of one that changed my life. I read for entertainment so I stay away from ones that are about social issues if I can and I don’t like to read books I know will make me cry and such so not really sure how to answer this. Unless you can count Stephen King’s Pet Sematary because it is what got me started reading horror…lol. 🙂
