How do you decide what books to read? – Suggested bySo Many Books, So Little Time

Mostly I read depending on my mood. I do try and fit in review books during the month they come out if I can, but some times I run out of month. I am also playing a challenge game on Goodreads from  the group Challenge Factory and they have a game on there were you are in teams and each week you roll the dice to see how many spaces you go on the board and then you pick a book out according to the series numbers or you can use the alternative from the list.

book beginnings memeBook Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.

I picked up Day Shift to review not realizing that it was book two in this series so I bought this one the other day and I can’t wait to give it a try and I am hoping to start it in a few days. 🙂

midnight crossroad

Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It’s a pretty standard dried-up western town.

There’s a pawnshop (someone lives in the basement and is seen only at night). There’s a diner (people who are just passing through tend not to linger). And there’s new resident Manfred Bernardo, who thinks he’s found the perfect place to work in private (and who has secrets of his own).

Stop at the one traffic light in town, and everything looks normal. Stay awhile, and learn the truth…

Chapter One:

You might pass through the town of Midnight without noticing it, if there weren’t a stoplight at the intersection of Witch Light Road and the Davy highway.

Not an incredible beginning but kind of intriguing in a

Friday 56

The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday  Teaser but  you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.

“So, you do that often?” he asked Fiji, because he didn’t want to think about the Rev going mad. Fiji smiled.

“Nah. And usually, when he asks me, I call Bobo and he walks over. But I could see he had a pawnshop customer this morning, so I called you. I hope you don’t mind.”

“No,” Manfred said, surprised to discover that was the truth. He hastened to add, “Some days I might be too busy, though.

I am kind of curious as to what they are talking about. 🙂

book blogger hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.  Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.

If you had a chance to read a book or watch a movie that is not about a book you have read, which would you choose?

I do much better if I watch the movie before reading a book that is based on a movie. If I have a choice between reading and watching a movie, I am normally reading. 🙂

Books for the win! 🙂 As much as I like movies I like books more.

It’s pretty fun, it’s called the Team Challenge SS on the Challenge Factory group. 🙂

It is fun and a great way to get through books you might not grab up to read right then as you have to match something to with the series number or the alternate read. 🙂
