Friday Meme’s ~Magic Breaks
Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
No matter how much the paranormal politics of Atlanta change, one thing always remains the same: if there’s trouble, Kate Daniels will be in the middle of it…
As the mate of the Beast Lord, Curran, former mercenary Kate Daniels has more responsibilities than it seems possible to juggle. Not only is she still struggling to keep her investigative business afloat, she must now deal with the affairs of the pack, including preparing her people for attack from Roland, a cruel ancient being with god-like powers. Since Kate’s connection to Roland has come out into the open, no one is safe—especially those closest to Kate.
As Roland’s long shadow looms ever nearer, Kate is called to attend the Conclave, a gathering of the leaders from the various supernatural factions in Atlanta. When one of the Masters of the Dead is found murdered there, apparently at the hands of a shapeshifter, Kate is given only twenty-four hours to hunt down the killer. And this time, if she fails, she’ll find herself embroiled in a war which could destroy everything she holds dear…
Just finished this one yesterday! I can’t believe Barb and I have almost finished this series only three books left!
“Kate, this is really dangerous,” Ascanio said.
That pretty much sums up Kate and her adventures. 🙂
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
Ghastek’s face jerked. “The concepts of right or wrong are inconsequential in this case.”
“The concepts of right or wrong are always consequential. It can’t be situational or it’s not right or wrong.”
“I didn’t come here to debate ethical obligations with you,” Ghastek said.
Things are getting pretty heated at this point in the story about a something.
This is Book 7 and from 56% in the Kate Daniel series.
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Have you ever read a library book you loved so much, you just HAD to own it, so you bought a copy for yourself after returning the library book you had already finished?
I am sure I have but it hasn’t happened recently because no book funds, but I know of some I have read that I have on my wishlist! 🙂
