BMR,Friday's MemeSince there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.

Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.

Favorite Book World?

So I am sure this will be a common one but I would say the world in the Harry Potter books. I think Hogwarts and all those in it would be pretty cool.

Most of my favorite series don’t have worlds I would want to live in so I had to go with this one…lol.

book beginnings memeBook Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.

Last Seen Leaving

Flynn’s girlfriend has disappeared. How can he uncover her secrets without revealing his own?

Flynn’s girlfriend, January, is missing. The cops are asking questions he can’t answer, and her friends are telling stories that don’t add up. All eyes are on Flynn—as January’s boyfriend, he must know something.

But Flynn has a secret of his own. And as he struggles to uncover the truth about January’s disappearance, he must also face the truth about himself.

There was a corpse in my neighbor’s front yard. Sprawled before a hedge of juniper bushes, its twisted arms and legs flung out bonelessly, as if it had plummeted there from a passing helicopter, there was an enormous granite boulder where it’s head should have been.

Grabbing another one of my October review books to feature, it’s one I hope to get too soon! It seems this has just as good of an opening as my previous featured book. I sure can pick them! Got a corpse at the beginning of this one and that is an attention-getting opening. 🙂

Friday 56

The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday  Teaser but  you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.

Her mouth twisted unhappily. “Yeah, well. I guess I was wrong. If that’s what you wanted to hear, there you go. You’re not the reason she disappeared; you’re just part of the reason she felt so alone all the time.” “That’s not fair,” I said, annoyed. “She shut me out- not the other way around. I told you that.”

Tension seems to be pretty high here. 🙂

So what do you think would you keep reading?

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.  Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.

Name one book that scared you so badly that you couldn’t finish reading it.

So I don’t scare real easy so I haven’t had a book scare me so badly that I couldn’t read it. Even when it was scaring me I still kept going…lol.

dabblingsThere was one that I read a long time ago that was about demons and how the sins of the father float down to the son or daughter type of thing and as I was reading it the door to the house creaked open and the screen door started banging and it totally freaked me out but I finished the book, which was super creepy!!

Most Stephen King books creep me out but I still finish them, horror buffs are just a glutton for punishment…lol.

  1. Oh, Dabblings sounnds really good. I think possession books are some of the scariest out there. I don’t get scared much when reading too, but every once in a while, I’ll get a tad creeped out. Then again, my husband usually has something to do with it. The other night we were watching a scary movie and when I went upstairs to be, he had taken a Michael Myers mask and hung it on an old crutch and propped it to be looking through small opening in a spare room. I screamed…he laughed.

  2. I think if the door creaked open and the screen door started banging while I was reading a book on demonic possession I’d still be on the ceiling! Last Seen Alive looks so good! I love the teasers you shared and can’t wait to see what you think of the book. It’s on my TBR.

  3. I love books about secrets. This one sounds very tempting, and I hope you are enjoying it.

Thanks for sharing. I left a comment earlier, but your spam folder ate it. Trying again.

  4. I agree, when I was thinking of book worlds there was only two I really wanted live in the rest I figured I probably wouldn’t survive.
