Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
Lady Jo Danvers has declared war on her humdrum life. Armed with a list of ways to be wicked, she will step out of her role as never-been-kissed wallflower and experience passion. With the right gentleman, of course. She just has to find him.
Mr. Elijah Decker, the handsome businessman she cannot stop thinking about, is definitely no gentleman. And he is decidedly all wrong. Unfortunately for Jo, she has unwittingly given him her list.
When Decker discovers Jo’s list mistakenly tucked between the pages of a pamphlet for the Lady’s Suffrage Society, he is intrigued. And after she realizes her error and storms his office demanding he return it, Decker agrees on one condition: that she accept his aid in crossing off each scandalous act.
What begins as a lark quickly sizzles into something deeper and unexpected. But Decker’s dark side and perilous secrets may tear them apart before Jo’s sinful quest is complete…
Be prepared for lots of romance on the blog as I am in a mood…lol. 🙂 This is book two in the Notorious Ladies of London series.
Decker stared at the list on the desk before him.
He had read the flowery script at least half a dozen times since finding it tucked between the pages of a pamphlet he had been tasked with printing for the Lady’s Suffrage Society.
The words taunted him.
This is a great hook! I needed to know more! 🙂
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
“I do wish you would cease calling me Josephine,” she said. “You know how much I detest that name. What was mother thinking, burdening me such a dubious mantle?”
“Mayhap she was thinking you would give your brother gray hair before his time with your antics and I would need a full name to resort to in times of trouble,” he said wryly, the first inkling of his sense of humor returning.
Jo has just been caught by her brother and he isn’t happy…lol.
I am using 46% because that is where I am and I don’t want to spoil myself as it’s pretty interesting right now and no telling what might happen in ten more precent…lol. I got this book from KU.
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Where do you get book images for your posts?
Mostly from goodreads, but sometimes from netgalley or edelweiss if they are eARCs and goodreads doesn’t have a picture.
