Friday Meme’s ~ Down a Dark Hall
Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
A paranormal rollercoaster ride with goosebumps at every turn–now a motion picture starring Uma Thurman and Anna Sophia Robb!
Kit Gordy sees Blackwood Hall towering over black iron gates, and she can’t help thinking, This place is evil
. The imposing mansion sends a shiver of fear through her. But Kit settles into a routine, trying to ignore the rumors that the highly exclusive boarding school is haunted.
Then her classmates begin to show extraordinary and unknown talents. The strange dreams, the voices, the lost letters to family and friends, all become overshadowed by the magic around them.
When Kit and her friends realize that Blackwood isn’t what it claims to be, it might be too late.
Working on this one right now, though been distracted by my binge watching this week! 🙂
They had been driving since dawn, but for the past two hours-since they had turned off the highway onto the winding road that led through the hill country-Kit Gordy had been sleeping.
Not an exhilarating beginning but I would probably be like Kit and sleeping on the way to their destination…lol.
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
“What does it mean?” Sandy asked finally. It can’t be coincidence. The two of us both having had experiences like that. And tonight-the locked door, the woman by my bed…”
This is where the book starts getting a bit interesting. It’s from page 57 instead of 56 as I liked it better. 🙂
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Have you ever visited the location of a book you have read?
Not that I know off though there are some I would like to visit as I like the description of the places. Like Maine, would love to visit Maine in the springtime as Maine is featured in a few cozies that I have read and it seems like a pretty cool state to visit. 🙂
