Friday Meme’s ~ Christmas in Evergreen
Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
A snowy small town.
A snow globe that grants wishes.
A love that’s meant to be.
Evergreen, Vermont is about to be in the rearview mirror of Allie Shaw’s vintage red pickup truck. It’s hard to say goodbye to her small town and her veterinarian practice, but she’s moving to Washington D.C., where her big-city-loving boyfriend lives.
Ever since Ryan Bellamy’s wife died, he hardly knows how to celebrate Christmas. He’s decided to take his daughter Zoe to Florida, and Evergreen is just a quick stop on the way to the airport. While they’re there, Zoe partakes in a local tradition, making a Christmas wish on the snow globe at the town diner.
But neither Allie’s nor Ryan’s Christmas goes as planned. They’ve checked their wish lists twice, and they didn’t say anything about meeting someone new…or about a fresh chance at love.
This magical, feel-good romance includes a free Hallmark recipe for Vermont Christmas Card Cookies.
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies so I was curious about the book. I think Nancy Naigle did a great job adding in descriptions and inner monologue, etc. that you don’t get in a movie. I am sure if was hard to take a script and add to it!
In northern Vermont-so far north that on clear days you might be able to see the North Pole-lies the magical town of Evergreen.
Sounds so cold! 🙂 Evergreen is a place I could visit but not live because I don’t do cold well…lol.
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
Michelle threw her hands in the air. “Ezra! You are making me crazy. I am in charge of the festival. Me, not you.”
“The festival is an important part of the town and I am the mayor of the town,” Ezra said pointing to himself. ” Me, not you.”
If you have watched the movie you probably remember this scene. 🙂
From 56% on scribd which is on my phone.
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Do you tend to visit the same blogs each week but also try to look for new blogs?
I tend to visit the same blogs. I especially like blogs that have email subscriptions so that they come to my email so I don’t forget to visit. Normally the blogs I visit the most are ones I have set to getting daily blog notices from and then some times I visit others but I don’t have a lot of time. I visit different ones from The Sunday Post from time to time to check out different blogs. I wish I had more time to visit others.
