Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
Lindsey is enjoying her second year in Briar Creek as the library director, meeting with the crafternoon club, and happily dating tour boat captain Mike Sullivan. But when a salvage company arrives in town to dig up treasure buried on Pirate Island over three hundred years ago, the locals are torn between protecting the island and welcoming the publicity.
In spite of the squabbling, Charlie Peyton, Lindsey’s downstairs neighbor, takes a job with the salvage company. But when Trudi Hargrave, the local tourism director who hired the company, is found murdered at the excavation site, Charlie becomes the chief suspect. To help him, Lindsey must do some digging of her own before the real killer buries the truth for good
I have seriously fell down a rabbit hole with this series as I just can’t help myself! I don’t think I have felt like binge reading a series in a long time and I am loving every minute of it! 🙂
“Daisy Buchanan was an insipid, shallow, soulless woman,” Violet La Rue declared.
“Jay should have found someone else.”
The ladies at the crafternoon club are always discussing a book while crafting something. This time it’s The Great Gatsby.
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
“You know, if we get caught, we are going to be in so much hot water, we won’t be able to bail ourselves out, and by that I mean pay our bail, not use a bucket,” Beth said.
Oh boy, Lindsay and Beth are up to something!! LOL.
So I took this from 53% as that is where I am and I didn’t want to spoil myself by looking forward. 🙂
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Recommend one horror novel for non-horror readers.
I would recommend Outsider by Stephen King because it’s lite on the horror and more of a mystery/thriller. I really enjoyed this one and need to go back try out his Bill Hodge trilogy as there is a character from that in this one and I am curious.
