Dewey’s 24hr Read-a-thon

April 23, 2016 Challenges 5

Dewey read-a-thonSo today I will be participating in the 24 hour read-a-thon. I don’t normally get in a full 24 hours but I do read as much as I can. This Saturday I will be all alone so I am hoping to get in some good reading with no distractions! 🙂

I will be reading as well as listening to books during the day and I have an idea of the books I am going to attempt but since I change my mind so much I think I will just put a pic of the book I read after I read it. 🙂

Update: So it seems that we are starting into hour 7 and I have finished one audiobook. Now I am resting my ears and going to finish my ebook I was working on.  It seems that even without my dad here to distract me I have been plenty distracted as he knows how to interrupt my plans via text…sighs….lol.

Had a few distractions of taking care of my green house and being  slow reader so not getting very far but I did manage to get another short audiobook finished! 🙂

So it’s about hour 17 and I am getting tired…I knew I probably wouldn’t make it through the whole 24 hours as I am not a night owl….lol. So I will probably be going to bed soon. But all in all I think I did pretty good.

Books Read:

curious beginnings Bachlor's girls guide to murder Missing Heir Wonder Woman Super Hero High

I will be using this page as my update page so every hour or two you might see a new update on my progress and if I do challenges they will be put on this page as well.

Currently reading: Fallout by Gwenda Bond

Currently listening to: The Demonists

Number of pages if print: 235

Percentage read if ebook: 39%

Intro.

1)What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

I am in the southwest corner of Missouri

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

Wonder Woman at Super Hero High by Lisa Yee

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Don’t really have any cool snacks, unless a banana is cool. 🙂

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

Book blogger, dog lover, trying to be a veggie gardener and that is about it. 🙂

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

I tried to be more prepared this go around than last time. I am on my own today so I am hoping that will help with my reading more. 🙂

Happy reading!!

Good luck! I used to do all night reading sessions and sitting up through the night to watch sporting events but I’m not fit for that anymore! I get too much like the zombies I read about! Good luck and get lots of reading done!
