Binge Watchers #7 ~Loch Ness #bingewatchersclub

October 11, 2017 Memes 11

Binge Watchers meme is every other Wednesday and it allows you to make it how ever you want so it’s easy for you. You can make list, share episodes or your take on the whole show, etc. Hosted by myself and Michelle at Because Reading.

About show:

The search for a serial killer becomes a matter of life and death for detective Annie Redford, who is trying to cope with her first murder case.

My thoughts:

Loch Ness reminds me a lot of Broadchurch for the fact that it’s about one case that is spread over the six episodes. It also has one of those I didn’t see that coming endings.

It starts off with some kids pulling a prank (one of those kids being Annie’s) down at the water and put a bunch of bones out and guts out (cows) then film it as evidence of the Loch Ness Monster. Only thing is when cops go to the scene they find a part there that don’t belong though at the time they don’t know it.

Then Annie is called out to a murder scene and things just escalate from there as they realize they have a serial killer on the loose. Annie is having to deal with the fact her daughter was in on the one prank and the DCI isn’t sure if she should stay on the case.

There is lots of drama as the town is starting to panic. Once I got started I just had to find out who it was and if it was someone I thought it might be or not. I had it narrowed down and I was on the right path but it still threw me at the end…lol.

I thought it was a pretty decent crime drama and if you like these types then you will probably enjoy it. I watched this on Acorn TV and will be curious to see what the next season will be about if they have one.

What have you binged on recently?

Crime shows are the best! 🙂 I don’t have many shows on any more that I watch but I do like to catch NCIS and NCIS:NO 🙂

Not a lot of Lore, but the MC’s husband does Loch Ness tours on his charter bus and talks about the first he seen the monster, etc. LOL (he is really just full of BS). 🙂

Acorn TV keeps tempting me but at the same time I haven’t really seen anything that I really want to watch – until now that is! This sounds like a show I’d really enjoy. I like the continuing case aspect and I loved the feel of Broadchurch though I couldn’t handle the sadness. Plus who can resist Loch Ness lore? Thanks for sharing!

More about a mystery surrounding the Loch Ness and not really the monster. Though the MC’s husband charters a boat taking people out on the water and talks about the monster. 🙂

It’s rare I miss a crime drama but I haven’t even heard of this…is it on Netflix as I will need to check it out?

Emma, it is on Acorn TV. Acorn TV is an all British channel you can subscribe too for like 4.99 and it has all sorts of great crime/drama/comedy that are British. 🙂
