Binge Watchers #16 ~SAFE #bingewatchersclub

June 13, 2018 Misc. 4

Binge Watchers meme is every other Wednesday and it allows you to make it how ever you want so it’s easy for you. You can make list, share episodes or your take on the whole show, etc. Hosted by myself and Michelle at Because Reading.

So been a while since I actually binged something new so I haven’t had any content but a few weeks ago I watched SAFE on netflix. Man, once I got started it had me hooked and so I binged the whole season in one day but there was only like 8 episodes. čÖé

Here is what it’s about:

Widowed surgeon Tom has struggled to raise his two daughters alone following his wife’s death a year ago. Things seem to be on the right track for the family, who live in a gated community, because they have close friends nearby and Tom is in the early stages of a new relationship. But the situation┬átakes a turn for the worse when Jenny, Tom’s oldest daughter, goes missing along with her boyfriend. Tom enlists girlfriend Sophie, a police detective, to help locate the teens, but her new partner is working her own agenda. As the investigation intensifies, Tom unearths dark secrets about the people closest to him in his affluent neighborhood.┬á

So the show starts out and it seems like things are great but you can tell that Tom is having troubles with his oldest girl and you learn along the way why. When she goes missing it flashbacks throughout the show so we can start piecing together what actually happened and you get the OH MY GOODNESS, I can’t believe that is who done it at the end. It has a very big Broadchurch feel to it and I kind of like that type of thing and it hooked me. A lot can go on in them gated communities!!! čÖé

It makes me want to check out Harlan Corben’s books now!

Have you binge watched anything new lately?

Oh I’m intrigued! I’ve been looking for a show to watch and I think this one would work well. I like the Broadchurch feel but the victim just struck a little too close to home and I couldn’t watch it. This looks like a good binge!

I’m putting this at the top of my Binge List for next week-my daughter will be at summer camp! Yah! Thanks for the heads up!
