So I was going to put everything into one post but then I decided there was to much so I am splitting it up into two post. This one will be all about my time in the big city of Chicago and meeting a lot of fun bloggers, etc.
So as the title says this was my first time in a big city and let me tell you I was in awe of the huge buildings. At one point Michelle Parsons from Because Reading asked me if I liked the Skyscrapers as she caught me staring at them as the Lyft drive drove us around. Yes, I liked them as they were just so huge. Where I am from I don’t think we have anything over about 5 floors…lol.
I landed in Chicago on Tuesday morning where I met Lexxie from Unconventional Book Views for the first time when she came and picked me up at the bus station. Since we have talked online it really never felt awkward and felt like I had always known her (it pretty much felt like that with everyone I met). Later on we meet up with Michelle Mankin and Lisa Anthony , and had breakfast in our hotel. Then it seemed like as more bloggers made it in we pretty much just had a meet, greet and eat day and it was very tiring for this hefty lady, but I sure got me some walking in. 🙂
I went to my first major league baseball game and it was a little bit disappointing because when we left in the seventh inning to crash the Naudies there had only been one run…lol. So not a lot of action going on at the game, but it was still an experience. At one point though I thought they was going to have to give some oxygen to this hefty girl as I made it up all those ramps and then had to do stairs…lol.
It was freezing at the game…lol.
So day one was eating and greeting and then the other days was mostly filled with BEA and then meeting up for supper with other bloggers. I didn’t really get to explore to much of the city but my time was filled with a lot of fun getting to know my blogger friends. We had tea, ate pizza and a lot of fun!
BEA was exhausting for this hefty lady as I am not use to walking 15,000 steps a day but I kind of got hooked and would like to do another one! 🙂
