THE BLUESTOCKING
Lady Corinna Mowbray has three passions: excellent books, intelligent conversation, and disdaining the libertine Earl of Chance.

THE RAKE
Lord Ian Chance has three pleasures: beautiful women, fast horses, and tormenting high-and-mighty Corinna Mowbray.
Neighbors for years, Corinna and Ian have been at each other's throats since they can remember. But when a twist of fate forces them to trade lives, how long will it be before they discover that they cannot live without each other?

What I thought of this book.

The Goddess of love statue has a little bit of magic in it as Lord Chance and Lady Mowbray found out in this freaky friday type of read.

Ian and Corinna and been bickering neighbors since they were children. Then one night while bickering under the statue of Aphrodite something strange happens. When each of them wake up the next morning they are in each others bodies. This puts them in each others paths more than they ever wanted as they have to figure out how to get back into their own bodies. They also find out a great deal more about each other and that maybe they had each other all wrong.

Corinna think that Ian is just a womanizer and card player but she begins to see there is a little more to him than playboy. Ian is finding out that behind the bluestocking is a very sensual woman. Even while back in their own bodies they have found an attraction that can not be denied.  They can fight it and pretend it never happened but it can’t be forgotten.

I have always found freaky friday type books to be very funny and this is not different. I will admit that because I was listening to it that I sometimes got confused with who was who..but other than that it was quite delightful and fun.

I loved the characters and I also love when waring neighbors finally figure out the reason they quarrel so much is that they like each other. Ian sounds like a very sexy rogue (who wouldn’t want to live next to that. 🙂 ), he also has a pretty squishy heart once he decides he likes Corinna. Corinna is intelligent and considered a bluestocking, but she has suitors but they just don’t seem to interest her much, but Ian brings out a whole new side of her. They are fit for each other.

If I had anything bad to say about this novel is that maybe I felt it a tad to long in getting the couple together, but that is probably just me being impatient. 🙂 Towards the end I was like oh come on just tell her how you feel!!

Overall I really enjoyed this one and if you like historical romances you should check it out.

The Narrator:

The Narrator Vieda Dehmlow was okay but I wasn’t wowed. Her voice was a little slow so I had to play it on fast to get her at a speed I could enjoy. Her voices confused me at times and I am not sure if it was her or just cause some times I got confused on who was who because of the switch.
