When Marty Andrews gets bitten by a mangy mutt while walking her teacup poodle, her blond hair darkens, the hair on her legs starts growing at an alarming rate, and her mood swings put her dream job as a sales rep for Bobbie-Sue Cosmetics in serious jeopardy.

Then a drool-worthy man shows up at her door claiming that he accidentally bit Marty. And since he's a werewolf, she is now, too. Thinking Keegan Flaherty is clearly insane, Marty refuses to believe a word until a kidnapping makes her realize there's more at stake than just her highlights. And she must put her out-of-control life in the hands of the man who makes her blood run wild in more ways than one...

First thoughts: Hot, hilarious and a lot of fun!

The Accidental Werewolf is the first in Dakota Cassidy’s Accidental series and this series is going to be a lot of fun. My only real problem with it is the amount of fowl language that I thought was unnecessarily.

Marty and her friends were walking down the street talking about Marty’s favorite thing Bobby Sue Cosmetics when her little dog muffin goes all attack dog on a large dog in the alley. That large dog turns out to be a werewolf and he accidentally bits Marty as she tries to pry her little dog from his lip.

When Keegan tells her that he is sorry for accidentally biting her but that she is now a werewolf, she doesn’t believe him. But she can’t deny some of the strange things that start happening to her and then she gets kidnapped. While kidnapped she gets really mad and kicks her way out of a car trunk and there is no denying that something strange is going on with her.

With someone out to get her Keegan makes her come and stay with the pack where she learns a lot more about being a werewolf and that they won a cosmetic’s company called Pack. Marty knows one thing this new sense of smell makes Keegan smell really good and she wants him. The pack elders want Keegan to mate with another in his pack, but he refuses. He wants Marty.

The thing about being a werewolf  is the shifting and poor Marty can’t seem to get a handle on it. She gets so embarrassed when the only thing that happens when she gets mad is a tale. She has plenty of  time to get it right as they try and find out who is trying to kidnap her and why. Is it someone from Bobby Sue, or the pack council?

The Accidental Werewolf is a hilarious paranormal romance that is full of hot werewolves and great secondary characters. Marty’s friends Wanda and Nina (though she has a bad potty mouth) are crazy. I love Keegan’s brother and sister as well. If you love paranormal romances and don’t mind the language then I definitely would recommend you give this book a try.

Narrator: Meredith Mitchell

This is my first book with this narrator and at first I wasn’t sure what I thought of her but by the time I finished the book I liked her. She has a great voice for Marty and Wanda but I think her Nina needs some work.

I did have a little problem with the audio getting quiet and then loud again but other than that the audio was great.
