This series continues to delight me! It’s one of my favorite series and I recommend it to everyone!

What I thought of this book.

I can’t believe how much fun I have listening to Shelby’s adventures. This time the trouble she gets into is not all her fault as she is being framed for murder. Someone is out for revenge and is taking her down with it, but Shelby is sure she can figure out who is behind it before she gets into to much trouble.

The characters in these stories are delightful, and I love Shelby she is so much fun and real. She has a great relationship with her husband and two kids. I am really glad that Chris is starting to be a lot more understanding of her mind reading abilities because as much as it gets her into trouble it has helped her stay alive and this time help her find out who is framing her.

It’s hard to find a secondary character that I like more than the other because they are all so great. I do think I love Ramos the most though and he just sounds so cute. I do think Shelby flirts a bit to much with him but if it was me I think I might have a hard time not wanting to flirt a bit with him. She never wavers though as much as he suggest they kiss, etc, she always remembers she married so that is good! My second favorite would be Dimples..AKA Detective Harris and I really felt sorry for him in this one because he has to question Shelby about the murder and he felt bad doing it cause he knew she didn’t do it. Then there is Uncle Joe, the mob boss that you just sort of love even though you know you shouldn’t.

There was a new character this go around and she was a lot of fun. Her name was Bobby Jo and she is a reporter trying to get the scoop on the murder. She makes a real cute girlfriend for dimples. 🙂

Trapped by Revenge was a real fast paced fun read and I would recommend this whole series to anyone who lights fun bit of mystery and adventure. 🙂

The Narrator:

Wendy Tremont King is Shelby and she does a great job with the other cast of characters. Some times her male voices all sound a bit to much like Uncle Joey but she tries. I really think she did a great job with her southern accent for Bobby Jo and can’t wait to listen to the next one!

Counts for item #11 of the COYER scavenger hunt. Read a mystery novel.

  1. Sounds like you’re having fun with this series! I remember seeing Carrots around the blogs when it came out but didn’t realize there were three more books already. And hurray for a character who stays faithful in her marriage! (Though the flirting would bother me, too.)
