Paranormal private eye. Grim reaper extraordinaire. Whatever. Charley Davidson is back! And she's drinking copious amounts of caffeine to stay awake because every time she closes her eyes she sees him: Reyes Farrow, the part-human, part-supermodel son of Satan.
Granted she did imprison Reyes for all eternity, but how is she supposed to solve a missing-persons case, deal with an ego-driven doctor, calm her curmudgeonly dad, and take on a motorcycle gang hell-bent on murder when the devil's son just won't give up on his plan of seduction..... and revenge?

Also by this author: Seventh Grave and No Body, Eighth Grave After Dark, First Grave on the Right, The Dirt on Ninth Grave, Eleventh Grave in Moonlight, The Trouble with Twelfth Grave

Here is what I thought

I just recently got into the Charley Davidson series and I am not sure why I waited so long because they are just great fun!

After what happened in the second book Reyes is not very happy with Charley for what she has done and he is always in her dreams. She can’t sleep because he is there, angry at her, tempting her, so she is hyped on caffeine and no sleep.

She gets a case about a missing person and it really seems like the husband might have done something but he is the one reporting her missing, but he is also acting weird. Not only does he have to figure out what is going on but she has Reyes to worry about. She is finding out he has a bit of his own agenda going on.

This was another fun Charley Davidson book and has a lot going on with the continuing story arc about Charley and learning more about her powers. Reyes keeps telling her she is more than just a grim reaper but she doesn’t understand and he won’t say. The mystery was really good as I really couldn’t pinpoint what was going on. There is also a few bikers she has to deal with in order to talk to her ghostly friend at the asylum, so it has a lot going on but it doesn’t hinder anything.

Charley is an awesome character, but I also love her friend Cookie and her uncle whom she calls UB. Reyes is as hot as ever but also a little annoying and I feel sorry for Charley because he is such a pain.

It’s a fun story and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one! 🙂

A big thanks to Estories for supplying me with the audio to review! I had not heard of this audio place until I got an email about them. It’s easy to navigate which makes it easy for those looking for their next audio.

The Narrator

Lorelie King does the narration for this and she does an awesome job! She is one of my favorite narrators and always seems to be able to just bring the story to life. 🙂

My library just got the audio version of the first book in this series and I’m super excited. I’m so glad you enjoyed this one! I’m really excited to see Lorelie King is the narrator. I love her but haven’t listened to as much as I’d like.
