Amelia Moore, the founder of the Moore Detective Agency, specializes in missing persons. Her cases have taken her to some very interesting places and put her in some dangerous situations, but she always solves the case. With the help of Rick Bonito, her sometime partner, her business is flourishing. When Mrs. Brody hires Amelia and Rick to find her missing brother, they find themselves in Bali, Indonesia. They are mystified why her brother quit his job, put his home up for sale, and ran off to this mysterious and exotic island without telling a soul.

My first time reading this author and I will be reading more!

What I thought of this book.

I love Cozies so when the author asked me if I would like to listen to her cozy mystery books I couldn’t say no! I am really glad I decided to listen to this one.

Amelia Moore is a Private investigator and she has been hired to find a lady’s brother who has gone missing. She decides that she will need help with this one so calls in her friend Rick Bonito  to help her out with the case. The case takes them to Bali and they go on a chase through different parts of the island as they try and track down the missing brother.

I really liked the two main characters and can’t wait to get to know them a little bit better as the series continues. Amelia runs a detective agency that specializes in missing persons. Rick is a friend that she hires from time to time to help her and there is a big attraction growing between them but she tries to keep it all business, but Rick seems to be pretty good at getting what he wants.

I liked the mystery in the story. Will is missing and the two MC’s are puzzled about why he would just up and quit his job and disappear without telling his sister. They find his journal and it gives them some clues on what might be happening and where he might be going. There are a couple of goons that are following them around and they try to dodge them while tracking down Will.

If you enjoy cozy mysteries (that don’t involve murder) then I think you will enjoy this quick read.

The Narrator:

Diane Lehman does a fantastic job narrating this story. She was very pleasant to listen too while some of her male voices were not great they were still pretty good. She added stuff like making it sound like she had a toothbrush in her mouth while talking, etc. I like it when they go beyond just narrating and give a little extra effort!
