When Sarah Grayson opened a secondhand shop in the quaint town of North Harbor, Maine, she was expecting peace and quiet. Then she was adopted by a rescue cat named Elvis and a kooky trio of senior sleuths known as Charlotte’s Angels. Now she has nine lives worth of excitement…
Sarah’s friend and employee Rose is delivering a customer’s purchase when the quick errand becomes a deadly escapade. Rose arrives just in time to see the customer murdered by his wife, but before she can call the police, she is knocked out cold. When she wakes up, no one believes her, especially after the woman claims her husband is very much alive and has left her for someone else—and has a text message and empty bank account to prove it.
Despite her convincing story, Sarah is sure something is fishy—and it’s not Elvis’s kitty treats. Sarah, Elvis, and the Angels are determined to unravel this mysterious yarn, before the feral killer pounces again...

Here is what I thought
Although not a huge cat lover I really have enjoyed catching up on this series.
Rose one of the members of Charlotte’s Angels went to deliver some candlesticks and gets knocked unconscious after witnessing a murder. Because she is an older woman the police don’t believe her and even some others like Nick don’t believe her, but Sarah knows something must have happened. Whether she believes Rose saw a murder or not she knows Rose enough that it warrents an investigation.
The more they look into things the stranger things gets as it seems several different scenarios fits what might have happened and what actually happened wasn’t anything I thought it would have been.
I love this cast of characters are so much fun, I really like the older characters from Charlotte’s angels. And as much as I like Nick, I really wish Sarah would lean more towards Mac (or Mat, sorry one bad thing about audios sometimes those little names all sound alike) Oh, and I can’t forget Elvis as he is one smart, sassy cat!
Bad thing about being caught up, waiting and hoping another one will be coming out!

Cats are jerks. At least a few of mine are 🙂 I’ll have to find this series for sure.

I enjoy books with more mature characters in them. This sounds like a fun series I’d enjoy.
