Plum Orchard, Georgia, is about to get even juicier…

Notorious mean girl Dixie Davis is back in town and it's payback time. Literally. Dixie is flat broke and her best—make that only—friend, Landon, is throwing her a lifeline from the Great Beyond. Dixie stands to inherit his business…if she meets a few conditions:

She's got to live in Landon's mansion.

With her gorgeous ex-fiancé, Caine Donovan.

Who could also inherit the business.

Which is a phone sex empire.

Wait, what?

Landon's will lays it out: whoever gets the most new clients becomes the owner of Call Girls. Dixie has always been in it to win it, especially when it comes to Caine, who's made it clear he's not going down easy. (Oh, mercy.) Can Dixie really talk dirty and prove that she's cleaned up her act? Game on!

I love Dakota Cassidy’s paranormal series so I had to give her contemporary series a go to see if they were just as funny as her other series and I was not disappointed.

What I thought of this book.

I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into with a book called Talk Dirty To Me, then to read it’s about a sex phone company. I was a little leery that it might be full of a lot of things I didn’t want to listen too in my little ears. 🙂 So then I was actually surprised that there was not really that much talking dirty in it at all. So if the title and what it’s about makes you less interested I am here to say, try it anyway!

Dixie Davis was a horrible mean girl when she was younger and there are some in her home town who have not forgotten about what she had done. So when she comes back to Plume Orchard for her friend’s funeral there is still one lady there who has Dixie in her sites. Dixie just wanted to get the funeral over and try and avoid Caine Donovan, her ex-fiance.

Their mutual friend Landon had other plans and in his will he states that both Dixie and Caine have to work at his sex phone business and who ever gets the most calls wins the company. Caine Donovan doesn’t need the money as he has his own real estate company, but Dixie is in debt to those who invested in her restaurant that went belly up. She needs this business though she is not thrilled on the type of business it is.

Caine could easily just forfeit and give it to Dixie but he is still a little hurt by what happened in the past, and still a little bit in love with Dixie. They always bet each other or dared each other in the past and it still happening. Though Dixie has changed after something happened to her in Chicago, so she is not the same mean girl, but some times her mean girl wants to come out.

Another one of Landon’s plans is having them live in the same house. Even from the grave Landon is trying one last time to put his friends back together where they belong with a little help from some others.

Talk Dirty To Me was hilarious! Dixie has no clue what to do with a sex phone business, she knows what goes on but she has never done anything like that before. Her practicing cracked me up as she is a southern belle at heart and they just don’t talk like that. I like how she gets out of talking dirty but you would just have to read or listen to find out.

I loved Dixie and Caine both and they are well suited for each other. Dixie still has that mean girl spark but it’s toned down and only comes out when someone is hurting a friend instead of her being the one hurting someone. Caine is sexy and still not over Dixie but has she changed, he has to know. He riles her up some times just see what will happen.

I think the side characters really help add to the story. The butler type guy who I can’t not spell his name, he is from India and he is pretty cool, the sex phone girls, and Em who becomes Dixie’s friend even though Dixie had once been mean to her.

If you love fun, sexy contemporaries that are set in a small town then you will enjoy Talk Dirty To Me! I can’t wait to try another in this series!

The Narrator:

This was my first time listening to Scarlet Chase and I really enjoyed her. She has just the right southern style of accent whether it was real or not I do not know. She also had a little bit deeper voice which made it easier for her to do the male voices. Over all I really enjoyed her narration and can’t wait to try another book with her as the narrator.
