Here is what I thought

Skulduggery shows up to protect Stephanie after a relative dies and leaves her his house. Stephanie is only 12 years old and knows nothing about what she is going to be getting into once she stays at the house one night. When a man shows up wanting something and tries to harm Stephanie Skulduggery is there to help her out.

Stephanie finds out there is magic in the world and Skulduggery knows all about it and she wants to learn. He takes her under his wings so to speak but grudgingly so as she has no plans of being left out of anything. They have to work together to stop an ancient evil.

Stephanie is a pretty brave kid for twelve as she pretty much dives into this whole new part of the world she didn’t know existed before until meeting Skulduggery. Skulduggery though is my favorite character he is a lot of fun and made me laugh. I don’t read many books with talking skeletons so I thought that was pretty cool.

This was just a totally fun read for me and if you like MG fantasy books then I think you might enjoy this one too.

The Narrator

This was my first time with narrator Rupert Degas and I will tell you that at first I really wasn’t sure I was going to like him, but he was great. He did awesome voices and I can now not see Skulduggery Pleasant as any other narrator. I would totally listen this narrator again.
