Here is what I thought

It’s Christmas time and Holly’s Oma who is of German descent decides to arrange a Christkindl market in Wagtail. It was an exciting time until Holly’s old flame and the very man she still pines for decides to come and brings his fiance. It’s going to take a lot for Holly to find the holiday spirit especially when there is a killer lurking.

Holly tries to keep her mind of of Holmes and his fiance and puts her detective hat on and tries to figure out what happened to the pet clothing tycoon who Trixie finds dead out in the cold. There is a list of suspects that even includes her Aunt and Holmes fiance.

I like Holly and her sleuthing companions Trixie and Twinkletoes! Trixie has a nose for finding the dead and a reputation as such that the cop in town asked to use her when one lady goes missing. Holly is not so sure this is a great gift that her dog has, but not a lot she can do about it. I really like the secondary characters in this series as well, from her Oma to her cranky Aunt!

It also has a good mystery and I didn’t figure it out and that is always a good thing! 🙂 This book also contains recipes!

If your in the mood for a good pet themed holiday story then this is a good one! Though you should always start with book one in my opinion! 😉

The Narrator

I really like Elise Arsenault and I think she does a great job with this series!
