Once upon a time, a girl loved a boy but married another man. What a mistake, especially since that man has been using her as part of his sick plot to experiment on shifters. And he's got a plan to use their sons. Over my dead body. But Melanie might need help keeping her boys safe. Wes is keeping secrets, lots of them, but he doesn't have a choice. The people he cares about are in danger, and he'll do anything to protect them, but that struggle intensifies when the girl he never stopped loving is drawn into danger. Can this gator meet the challenge of freeing himself from the blackmailing grip of Bittech but also find a way to be with Melanie, too? Contains mature themes.

Here is what I thought

Gator’s Challenge is the last in the Bitten Point series and it’s a second chance romance.

There is someone out there experimenting on shifters and not in a good way, turning them into monsters. Melanie, can’t believe her husband is involved in what is going on and she has decided she is through. Only thing is her husband has gotten a bit stronger than he use to be and he has taken their two kid. She finds out he wants to experiment on his own kids, now she is mad and her panther wants out but he has done something to her and your cat can’t come out.

The one person she didn’t want to see might be the only one that can help her and her twins. Wes is a part of all this but it’s because he has to not because he wants too. He has a reason for being there but Melanie doesn’t care. Wes is the one guy who she was still in love with but he broke her heart when he broke up with her without no explanation.

This is a strange situation for two people who still have feelings for each other to come together but it works. One of Wes’s relatives is really crazy and has plans to use both of them to get some little ones he can experiment on, see crazy!

I have been curious about Wes, so it was nice to see why he acts the way he does. He is a Gator shifter and doesn’t think he is good enough for Melanie but he can’t get her out of his system. Melanie is a feisty character especially when someone is trying to do things to her babies. Don’t get in between a mother and her kids. 🙂

I love that how towards the end it incorporates some of the characters from Kodiak Point. It was overall a fun sexy read and we can finally figure out who the baddies are and what they are doing. Though it kind of ends like there could be more but I haven’t seen any indication.

Her books always give me a chuckle as well. 🙂

The Narrator

Chandra Skyye who has narrated all the books from this author has grown on me but her range of voices are not very good and some times it’s hard to tell who is who. She is still enjoyable to listen too.

  1. I really loved this book too. Melanie wasn’t going to allow anyone to hurt her kids and to think that father would want to makes me very angry. I hope that you’re going to start Dragon Point next. It is a fun continuation of this set of series.
