Kath Rutledge’s grandmother left her a charming fiber and fabric shop, a close-knit group of needlework lovers, and a television-addicted ghost in the attic. She may also have inherited the special skills required to untangle a murder. Always up for trying something new, Kath and her friends from the fiber and needlework group TGIF—Thank Goodness it’s Fiber—are visiting Cloud Hollow Farm for the day to learn the fine art of dyeing. With spring in the air, the friends head out to greet the sheep. But the sheep are more interested in something else—two bodies spread under a tall tree. And one of those bodies is someone they know. Kath’s friends nudge her to investigate, and no one is more adamant than Geneva, the ghost who loves to play assistant sleuth. But when Kath discovers another murder cut from the same cloth, she’s more determined than ever to hang a roving killer out to dry…
The second book in Molly MacRae’s Haunted Yarn Shop Mysteries is just as fun as the first one.
What I thought of this book.
In Dying Wishes the ladies of the Yarn Shop find two bodies while visiting The Cloud Hollow Farm. One of the bodies is the daughter of one of the ladies they know and she wants Kath to investigate. So Kath and her fellow Yarn Shop ladies plus a couple of guys try and solve the mystery. It has some funny moments with all them trying to figure things out.
Of course Cole the policeman who already doesn’t care for Kath’s interfering from the first book is still on the war path when it comes to her. It just gets madder and madder especially when she figures things out before he does.
Kath is still trying to come to terms with the fact that her grandmother said she was a witch and that Kath was now a witch. Her grandmother use to make special dye and yarn but Kath can’t seem to find the spell book.
Dying Wishes has a lot of characters and a few with some motives to want at least one of the victims dead. Lot of speculation into what happened and a lot of fun.
I think I might have liked the first one a bit more than this one but it was still a cute cozy with a lot of fun characters.
Emily Durante did a really good job with this one just like she did with the first one. I am getting use to her voices.
