Here is what I thought

This is just a fun series and I am also glad that it is one  cozy series that I keep up with, and let me tell you I am in the middle of a LOT of cozy series but hardly keep up with them…lol.

Welcome to Wagtail, the place where everything revolves around your furry friends! It’s time for the annual pet adoption charity ball that the ladies of Wagtail Animal Guardians (WAG for short) and so the pet friendly hotel is hopping with special guest to keep Holly busy. While Holly is preparing for the ball she finds out that the retired judge has lost his dog and that dog is very important to him.

It’s so important that he hires a pet detective to find the dog for him because he can’t get around as good as he use too. His housekeeper thinks she must have accidently let him out but doesn’t really remember but it’s the only thing they can think off, but there is some other strange things going around at the judges house that makes him think someone is stalking him or at least listening in on his conversations.

Then the pet detective is found dead and he is lying right next to the dog as if he was maybe on his way back with the dog but something happened. It is soon found out that he was murdered and Holly finds out that there is a list of suspects and they are all staying at her hotel!

I really like the characters in this cozy and so it’s always fun to come back to Wagtail and see what is happening. I love Holly and her grandmother and everyone else. I love the idea of a pet friendly hotel and Trixie and Twinkletoes Holly’s pets really make this series delightful.

It had a really good mystery and I almost didn’t figure it out and I think it was mostly an accident…lol. I didn’t have the motive down as I never do, I am always good at guessing who the killer is but never why. 🙂

The Narrator

I really like Elise Arsenault, she does a lot of cozies and so I am really use to her narration!

  1. I’ve seen Krista Davis around pretty much since I started reading cozies but somehow have only read maybe one book from her. I definitely need to try this series!
