Percy Jackson isn't expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears at his potential new school, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to worse.
In this fourth installment of the blockbuster series, time is running out as war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord Kronos draws near. Even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos's army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop the invasion, Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth - a sprawling underground world with stunning surprises at every turn.

Here is what I thought

I have been meaning to get to this one for a while and I had actually read almost half of it so when I seen the audio version on my online library I grabbed it.

Things are amping up a bit in this one as the camp tries and prepares for battle against the Titan lord Kronos. Poor Grover is in trouble with his kind because he hasn’t found Pan and is about to lose his searchers license. Then they find that an entrance to the labyrinth is on camp half blood which is also were they think Pan might be, but they also think that Luke and his evil minions are trying to find a way in through it to the camp. Annabeth has a vision and gets a quest and picks Percy, Grover and Tyson to go with her even though she is really only suppose to take two.

On this quest they run into a lot of bumps and at one point they split off with Grover and Tyson as he needs to find Pan. Annabeth and Percy go on to find the maker of the labyrinth and it’s hard to decide who to trust and who not too. This one hints to a little bit of romance as Annabeth gets jealous of a mortal girl (can’t remember her name), but they need her help since she can see within the mist and help them through the labyrinth.

I really enjoyed this installment of the Percy Jackson series. It was full of lots of action and fun moments and things are getting pretty dangerous for those at the camp and I can’t wait to get the next one to find out how it all ends. I have a lot more series from this author to get too! 🙂

The Narrator

I have never tried Jesse Bernstein but he does a really good job with this and made it entertaining even if not all of his voices were great. 🙂
