When mild-mannered Casey Schwartz wakes up in jail, she has no memory of how she got there. But after her sister, Wanda, bails her out, Casey has more to deal with than a foggy memory-like abrupt mood swings and fireballs shooting from her fingertips. But things really head south when a vampire shows up on her doorstep...

Vampire Clayton Gunnersson is seriously hot. And seriously taken-by a demon. In a ritual gone wrong, Clayton tried to get rid of his unwanted bond, but spilled some demonic blood on Casey, getting her possessed in the process. Now, Casey has to share her body and manage to keep her growing attraction to Clayton in check, because falling for her demon's boyfriend just might get Casey killed-from the inside out.

First thoughts: Though I like the series they seem a lot of alike in  terms of story line which can get a little old.

Dakota Cassidy continues to make me laugh even with all the foul language. Accidentally Demonic deals with Wanda’s sister Casey who is to busy with her job to contact Wanda. So she has no clue what has happened to Wanda and her friend even though Wanda has tried to get in contact with her.

Casey lands in jail and doesn’t remember how she got there but the only person she knows to call is Wanda. Wanda and her friends come to bail her out and find out something has happened to Casey. It was easy to see that something paranormal happened when Casey tries to set Nina’s hair on fire by shooting fireballs out her hands. Casey soon finds out all the things she has missed out on by not contacting Wanda and also soon learns what has happened to her.

Clayton is a vampire mated to a demon he can’t stand and while trying to get rid of her for good he accidentally spills her blood on Casey which is why Casey is not part demon. Casey is so not happy with this but there is something about Clay that she likes, or could it just be the hyped up libido she has because of the demon part. Things are never easy when you accidentally get turned into a paranormal entity.

Accidentally Demonic has that snarky humor that the other three books have which is what makes this series really fun to listen too. Casey lets her job take over her life and sort of just thinks of herself and she could be someone that could be unlikable.  Her getting turned into a demon is probably the best thing that ever happened to her as it causes her to get a bit more perspective in her life and make her more likable. She has a lot of attitude which helps her deal with horns and flames shooting out her fingers and is a good character. Clay, is a sexy brooding vampire who doesn’t like to talk about how he became attached to the demon. He has a few secrets but when you find out what they are you really like him a lot more and feel a bit sorry for him. He was my favorite new character.

What I wasn’t to keen on is the repetitiveness at the beginning as Casey learns she is a demon and about the paranormal. When Marty, Nina and Wanda all tell her about why they don’t go all crazy when she starts flipping out. It just seemed like over and over it was Casey wrapping her head around the paranormal and it got sort of old. Though once that gets out of the way the flow goes a lot better. Though I do like this series they all seem to have the same theme going through them..accidentally get turned paranormal..fall for the person who turned them..something happens they they have to deal with before happily ever after..but over all I still like them. I know I sound like a broken record when I say this but I wish there wasn’t so much foul language, the author seems to really like the F word. (So if that is something you really don’t like you won’t like this series)

If you like paranormal romances I would recommend you give them a try and you would need to start with Accidental Werewolf as they need to be read or listened to in order.

I have really come to love this narrator, she really does a great job with this series. She has a great voice for snarky and that really makes listening to this series fun.

Every time I see this series I think that I should really pick it up – I love snarky humor and the language wouldn’t bother me really. Too bad the plot has been getting a bit too predictable though, that’s a bummer. Great review 🙂

Yeah, I guess it’s hard to have something accidentally happen over and over even with different types of PRN and it not be a little the same..but I think you would like them. (My favorite is still the first one as I like Marty..lol)
