A Month of Giving Thanks ~ Day 2~ Narrator

Posted November 2, 2016 by Stormi in Misc. / 16 Comments

I have seen this done on Felicia @ Geeky Blogger blog and then I seen Berls and Michelle do it as well. As you can see Michelle gave me her button to use as I decided I wanted to do something this year.

Here is what you will see all month long on Books, Movies, Reviews. Oh my! I will be mentioning varies Bloggers, Authors, and Narrators on my blog. There could be more than one post a day as I think I came up with a list that went over 30 days. I also know that I can’t possibly mention every blogger, author or narrator I know all in thirty days so please don’t be upset if you didn’t get a mention cause if this goes over well and I find I liked doing it there is always next year. πŸ™‚

I am thankful for great narrators that make listening to audiobooks so much fun!

Narrator Karen White

Karen White has been narrating audiobooks since 1999, with more than 250 to her credit and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. Honored to be included in AudioFile Magazine’s Best Voices for 2010, 2011 and 2015 as well as Speaking of Audio’s Best Romance Audio 2012, 2013 and 2014, she’s also a two-time Audie Finalist and has earned multiple Audiofile Earphones Awards and Library Journal starred reviews. She currently lives with her family in coastal NC.

Karen quickly became one of my favorite narrators when I first listened to her narrate some mystery novels. I enjoy her narration enough that I have even be persuaded to listen to some contemporary romance novels that I might not have tried. I ended up really enjoying them and would try just about anything she narrates.

I was lucky enough to have met Karen this year in Chicago and she was super nice and so much fun to talk too! She introduced us to other narrators which I thought was extremely nice of her and it was probably one of the highlights of my time in Chicago during BEA!

Few books Karen has narrated:

  1. Love this feature and so honored to be your first narrator this month! I really enjoyed meeting you guys at the Naudies and hope to see you at another event soon. Thanks to YOU for all you do to share your love of books and audiobooks in particular.

She does a lot of contemporary romances and some cozy mysteries. I hope you enjoy her narration if you give her a try. πŸ™‚

  2. Kathleen Costa

I love audiobooks and explore what other projects they are in. The story is always the main part, but in audio versions the narrator can ‘make or break’ the experience. I will check out Karen White!

If you like Ellery Adams she does the Books by the Bay series which I enjoy and have listened to three of them so far.

  3. I know, it was amazing meeting her. I hate that I haven’t read any of her books yet. I hope to rectify that soon though, with some Jill Shalvis πŸ™‚

  4. I love Karen White too. I started listening to her with the Sin Brothers series by Rebecca Zanetti. I will have to check out the cozy mysteries that she has done. I keep saying that I’m going to try that genre, might as well pick it up with a narrator I know I love. πŸ™‚
