When Prudence Alessandra Maccon Akeldama (Rue to her friends) is given an unexpected dirigible, she does what any sensible female would under similar circumstances – names it the Spotted Custard and floats to India in pursuit of the perfect cup of tea. Why I want this one..cause it’s from one of my favorite authors. I love this author cause she is quirky and fun and the off the wall names she gives her characters always makes me laugh. She may not be for everyone but I think she is a blast!!!

Her first 3 have been on my wishlist for ages and I somehow just never seem to get to them. And now she’s got a new character! I really need to give up sleep and just read!

I have only read one book by Gail Carriger, the first Parasol book. And while it was fun, I didn’t really connect with it enough to pick up the rest of the series. I do like the style of her covers! Especially the purple steam punkish feel of this one. I hope you’ll enjoy it once you get your hands on a copy 🙂
Yeah, this author is not for everyone, but I think I must have a really quirky weird mind cause I think she is hilarious..lol. 🙂

It’s not part of that series, but it’s a spin off of her first series in the same world..the Parasol Protectorate Series..it’s about the daughter of the main character in that first series. 🙂
