BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So this week was a bit busy and I didn’t get to do much reading. By the time the day came to a close I was so tired, my feet and legs hurt and all I wanted to do was sleep. The good thing that came out of this week was I finally got a railing on our stairs. 🙂 It only took three and a half days, but we are not professionals by any means so it was a bit of trial and error. 🙂 Here is a picture.

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Netgalley/Edelweiss

tumbletown manor Bright Blaze of Magic Waylaid Relic Misery Bay Minstery of ghost

I have a good week, then I fail miserably….lol.

Books bought (kindle):

Haunt me Darker Domain

Not read book one of Mary Hades but I am pretty sure I will like it and well I can’t pass up a sale of .99 for Haunt Me when the other books are about 3 bucks. 🙂

Same with A Darker Domain, I don’t have the first book but this second book was on sale for .99. I watched a Bristish show based on the books from this authors other series and loved it and I have some of those books too, so couldn’t pass it up…lol. 🙂

Audiobook buys/won:

woman in crimson snowing on bluegrass

Freebies (kindle):

demon deadline cold fear brownie and betrayal

Free at time of purchase.

Books read last week

Murder on Gramercy Park

Not a good reading week for me, but I did get a railing built for my stairs going up to the second floor of my home. 🙂 It’s not perfect but my father and I built the house with the help of some family members so it’s built with love and crooked lines. 🙂 (Picture is above in my ramblings..lol)

Currently reading

Plateful of Murder Northwood bind the soul devious minds

So I didn’t get far and currently reading the same books, except the audios are different…lol.

What might be up next

Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum Study in Charlotte courtesan dutchess

  1. The railing is beautiful. I think you did a great job. I’m really excited for Bright Blaze of Magic, but I’m going to get the audio. I’ve not tried Molly Harper’s contemporary series. I’ve been debating about it. I love Harper, but I’m really picky about contemporary romances. Maybe one day.

  2. I still love the railing! It looks amazing, you all did such a great job!

I will totally take part of the blame for you doing good on book getting and then failing, I just had to share with you! 😉

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox

  3. Gorgeous railing! I have never been a DIY person, but one of my sons did a lot of stuff in my house in the foothills…which I no longer have. Sold it just before the bottom fell out of the real estate market here…whew!

Enjoy the railing and your new books. Lots of tempting titles. I’m curious about Tumbledown Manor.

    Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  4. Omg! It looks fabulous! Building stuff yourself can be so rewarding! We’re still working on our shed (AKA the Exterior Library) though if we hadn’t run out of money we’d probably be done long ago. lol And you and I had the same end of days. Between running after Kyleigh and doing outside work, almost every day this week, by the end of the day my legs and feet hurt soooooooo bad! I would end up on the couch for a bit with my legs propped up on pillows. Gah! I really really need to lose weight. Is it too much to hope that if I continue working outside I might manage to drop some pounds? I can hope, right? 😀

  5. I love your new railing Stormi! I’ve been a fan of Val McDermid since I was a teenager, you don’t actually *need* to read them in order, there’s normally only minor plots going through all the books (the only exception I know about is some of the Tony Hill & Carol Jordan books which focus on the same killer). Have a great week and happy reading!

  6. That railing looks pretty good! You did a great job… you have been killing it on the cozy/ mystery reviews lately. Wow. Relic looks good, and of course I’m curious about Northwoods. 🙂

Nice that you guys built your house. My grandfather and my uncle both built theirs and it’s different when you do it yourself. 🙂

  7. vvb

The railing turned out nice! Good to have that support. Ooo, Val McDermid is one I’ve been wanting to try. Enjoy your haul.

  8. Oh a Val McDermid Stormi?! I loved the Wire in the Blood TV series as well….

And what a great job you did on the rail! It looks great – I love the timber etc..

  9. The railing looks really great. I am sure you appreciate it even more because YOU did it. We are slowly revamping our new home. Next up we will be working on setting up a gym type area in the basement. We also need new furniture for it. Hopefully by Summer it will look like a great space.
    Have a great week!

  10. Wow, that railing looks gorgeous! Excellent job! And I know what you mean about being dead on your feet at the end of the day. I’ve been falling into bed exhausted this month. It’s been quite busy!

  11. The railing looks great! You guys did a terrific job. Dead on your feet is how I have felt for months. I have been sleeping about 8 hours and when I am at the man’s house, I crawl back in bed with him when he gets home in the mornings and sleep until noon or one. This year is so draining. Here’s to happy reading!
