BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Not to much happened this week, worked more in my garden. We are trying to put mulch around the plants to help with the weeds but don’t know if it will work or not..but it being just me trying to weed a large garden the weeds are winning. 🙁 I told dad he needs to help, but it goes over his head. 🙁

Went and seen Jurassic World and it was pretty cool, not much different than the others but something cool about nasty dinos trying to eat people that makes you watch! 🙂

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

My quest to stop getting review books is not working so well. 🙁 I got two from Netgalley it was an ugly battle in my mind but the book addict in me won..lol.

A Murder of Mages Veil

Kindle Buys:

Priceless

Priceless looks cool and it was only .99, so I thought why not. 🙂

Audiobook buys:

The Martian Your Next Madness of Lord Ian

A lot of bloggers I follow have really loved The Martian, so I broke down and got it. Then there was a two for one credit deal going on on audibles and Berls from Fantasy is More Fun raves about The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie so I grabbed it and then You’re Next just sounded cool. 🙂

Book splurge: 🙂

WP_20150612_004

  1. Awesome week. The Book Addict/Hoarder in me always win. So I have given up trying to fight that addiction. You got a nice selection of books. I hope you love all of them.

Yes they are…lol..I remember why I didn’t garden before! lol For All Time was a pretty interesting romance read. 🙂

  2. I’ve missed the last couple in the Grafton series but must catch up. How I’ve loved Kinsey. I’d actually like to binge read the entire series I think. There’s something enviable about her life in a bizarre kind of way.

It’s a bit overwhelming thinking of how many are in this series and I am just getting started..lol.

  3. Squee! You’re going to LOVE Ian MacKenzie! And the narration is fantastic 🙂 and I see you’re making progress with Shelby – isn’t she just great?! Good luck with the garden, I think weeds would be the biggest challenge for me too. Oh and I requested The Veil thanks to you. Let’s see if I get it 😉 have a great week!

    • Stormi

I am sure I will love it! And I sure am speeding through those Shelby audios..if it wasn’t for the fact that I have to fit in some other review audios I would probably do them all back to back..lol.

  4. Ohhh I hope you love The Martian! So good! I jealous of your garden time. It’s so dry and dead around here that I haven’t had much of that.

    • Stormi

I hope I do too as it’s not my usual read. Wish you could have a garden though they are a pain..lol.

  5. You had quite the haul there! And a good bit of variety too! I saw Northanger Abbey. I have to say that one has been my least favorite Jane Austen so far, but one of them has to be, right? 🙂 Hope you have a great week!

Northanger Abbey is not my favorite Austen either but I didn’t have it and it was only .99 at bookoutlet.com so I figured why not..lol. I also thought the cover was pretty and purplish. 🙂

  6. I was pulling weeds this weekend too, I have this black stuff down to prevent the weeds but they still pop up some how, now I have to weed the rest of the yard. Might be able to get my husband to do that 🙂

At this point you should just embrace books, denying makes it worse and make you want more. So EMBRACE YOUR BOOK LOVE and be as addicted as ME!!!! 😉

Have a great week Stormi! Happy Reading!
PS COYER STARTS THIS WEEKEND!!!! OMG!!!!

    • Stormi

Oh well that is not good..I thought having that black stuff on there would keep weeds out..but I bet it’s not as bad as mine..lol.

I know I should just embrace my book addiction but I was so trying to cut out review books so I could catch up…lol. It’s just not working. 🙂

  7. Our yard looks awful since we have to conserve water. I feel like putting rocks so I don’t have to deal with too many weeds.

Everyone has been talking about The Martian so I have to check this out. I hope you like it.

I have to check out the book outlet. I have book signing coming up and I hope I can get most of the books from there.

    Have a great week!

    • Stormi

That was me, with all the talk of The Martian I had to try it out for myself..lol. I hope I like it. 🙂

  8. I don’t even try to pretend I can stay away from books anymore, Stormi 😉 The Veil is on my kindle, too, but I’m saving it for COYER, it will be one of my high points scavenger hunt reads 😉
I hope next week will be a good one, happy reading!

    • Stormi

Oh, it’s a good one for COYER huh..will have to look at the scavenger list..lol. I still need to do that..I am so behind. 🙂

      • I’ve given 3 stars to some of Neill’s books, so The Veil works perfectly for the scavenger hunt for that one 🙂
I just sat down with the list very soon after it was live, just so that I could at least see which books could count. I have no idea if I’ll end up reading any of them…

  9. I figured from the trailers the new movie wouldn’t have a lot of surprises. Still can’t wait to see it and will be going next week!
Lots of great books again. You made a haul for such a small amount of money!

    • Stormi

I liked the comic side of Jurassic Park and Chris Pratt is not to bad to look at. 😉

I did grab a nice haul for the money, so now I think I am addicted to book outlet..lol. You just have to wait till you find the right books for the right price but they have some fairly new ones for a good discount. 🙂

  10. Hopefully the mulch will help. Weeds drive me crazy and I just have 2 beds! I’ve heard good things about Jurassic World but that it is similar to the others. Sounds like a fun movie! The Martian is calling me so I’ll be looking forward to reading your thoughts on it. Have a great week!

    • Stormi

I hope it does but right now it’s raining, raining, raining so there goes the weeds again. 🙁 It’s a never ending battle! 🙂

I am hoping to get to The Martian before the movie comes out! I can’t believe it already has a movie!

  11. I hope you will enjoy The Martian. I did, loved the audio. It gets a little tedious here and there but I gave it five stars for the read. And I don’t read SF either very much! Loved Lord Ian too. Best of luck with the mulching, should help.

    • Stormi

Almost everyone I know has loved The Martian on audio so I decided to get it after purchasing the ebook as it was only 1.99 more to add it. 🙂 I thought with the scientific stuff it might be best if someone was telling me about it instead of me trying to read it..hhehehe 🙂

    • Stormi

Yeah, it was pretty good. I seen it in 3D but I think I would have preferred it in Standard I am just not a 3D fan. I am not sure about The Martian book or audio, so I hope I like it on audio! 🙂

  12. Good luck wth your garden! Glad you enjoyed the Jurassic Park movie. I haven’t watched any of the Jurassic Park movies, not sure if they are for me. You got a nice haul this week. I also have a hard time staying away from netgalley. I hope you have a great week!

    • Stormi

I like them cause they are good action type movies..not extremely gory but a little..and I like the dinos..lol

I so can’t stay away from netgalley but at the same time I feel like I am in review book burnout. 🙁

  13. Priceless has been on my Kindle for what seems like forever but haven’t stopped on it yet while browsing. Someday. And I got the Martian on audio as well-everyone loves it. Hope you do as well. It’s another someday for me 🙂
