The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Hello everyone! So I think the heat has finally reached us! It’s hot but at least there is no rain, I will take hot for a while. I know I am crazy…lol.

So we got the ball joints fixed on the car so hopefully no more problems for a bit…fingerscrossed!

I think I needed a break from reading (even though I still read a lot) as I watched a lot of tv this past week. I watched all of season one of Signora Volpe (on Acorn TV), there was only three episodes but they were 1hr and 23 min. long and I liked it so hope there will be more! Then I fell down the Downton Abbey rabbit hole again…lol. One of these times I will make it through all 6 seasons so I can watch the movies. I am up to season 3 episode 5, so I did pretty good. Oh and we went and seen the new Dr. Strange movie which was pretty good but then I like Benidect Cumberbach so I could be bias…lol.

Hope everyone has a great week and happy reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Nothing!! 🙂

Books read last week

  • Bayou Book Thief – So I wasn’t a huge fan of the MC, but overall I enjoyed this. I think it would have been a 3.5 but the last 15% bumped it to 4. There was a rescue seen involving dogs…enough said. 🙂 (eARC from Berkley)
  • Live or Let Chai – I thought this was a good start to a series and really enjoyed it. (Audiobook)
  • Miss Crazy is Daisy – I still had some books on overdrive from last months Middle Grade May, it was super short and cute. (45 minutes on audio)
  • Willodeen – I thought it was okay. (Audiobook)
  • Murder at the Fortune Teller’s Table – It’s been a while since I listened to book one and two but I still enjoyed this one and hope to catch up on it since this one will be fresh in my mind, sort of…lol. (Audiobook)
  • The Silenced – My comfort read series and it’s been to long since I listened to one of these and I really enjoyed it. This is book 15 in a long on going series. (Audiobook)

Currently reading

  • To the Devil – Haven’t read a Shea book in a while and this is his newest one. Not to far in but hope it’s a good one!
  • Still Life With Crows – I am so glad to be getting to another Pendergast book, this is book four. I just started the audiobook last night but so far it’s enjoyable. I love Pendergast mannerisms…lol.
  • Murder in an Irish Churchyard – So I wasn’t a huge fan of book two, but so far this one hasn’t been to bad. I am 51% into the audiobook.
  • Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun – This one is okay so far. I have an ARC and I am on page 101 of 298.

What might be up next

Not sure why I put anything here as I never seem to read what I put here…lol.

  1. Murder in an Irish Churchyard sounds fun. I still need to see the dr. strange movie. It hasn’t been too hot here yet, which is weird for Michigan in June, but it’s coming I’m sure. I’ll take it though, it’s been kinda cool here!
