What you might have missed on my blog
So I am finding staying away from my blog harder that I thought it would be. I had more things going on this week than I thought I did and had to toss up a post that I totally forgot about as this month so got away from me!Β So I think I am just not going to stress about the blog and if I want to I will if not I won’t, but I am finding out I am horrible addicted to being on my blog whether posting or drafting post…lol.
Other things going on around here is trying to garden..lol. My tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli are doing well but some others not so well..lol Right after we planted some seed we had a flood rain and I think it scattered our seeds cause we can’t seem to figure out what is a plant and what is a weed..so one half of the garden isn’t weeded while the other half that was planted with plants is..lol. Oh well, it was my first gardening attempt in like 14 years..lol. I will get the hang of it again. π
I got rid of 4 boxes of books at a used bookstore and brought home one box of new books..so much fun picking out new to me books…I can’t wait to do it again..lol. You will see my book haul below. π

Books I have added
I managed to stay away from Netgalley and Edelweiss just like I said I would…lol. Go me!
So you’ll know I have been organizing my books and I have a ton in my TBR pile..I mean I have one whole bookcase overflowing, plus a large pink tub..and that’s really not all..lol. Well I took four boxes to a used bookstore and well you know you never get as much back as you take but I am so excited about the new books I grabbed up and I was so glad to get rid of a bunch! I got all these books + four westerns for my dad with the 58.00 in store credit for the books I brought in. π Sorry for the horrible fuzzy pic.
As you can see lots of mystery type books..I am in a mood and have been wanting to start a lot of series so I took this time to try out some.

I’ve had to stay away from NetGalley as well. I have a half a dozen books sitting there waiting to be read (none being published before 30 June)… so I told myself I couldn’t request more until I got through my hard copies and some in NG.
Have a great week!
Deb
It’s hard to stay away, I see something I want and I automatically want to go see if it’s on netgalley..lol. So instead I have been writing them down and making a list for later. π
Getting books from a used bookstore is one of my favorite things LOL. Glad you got some good stuff. Enjoy the new reads.
Circl of Influence looks like a nice mystery, I like the snowy cover.
It was a lot of fun, I could have spent all day in that bookstore..lol.
Organising my books is going to be my project for June. I have them scattered everywhere and I need to declutter and rehome some of them. Well done for resisting NG and EW and I think its great that you find you want to blog even on a break. We are lucky we have hobbies that we love π
Trish, good luck with the book organizing! It was a huge eye opener for me..lol.
I managed to not pick up any new books this week, yet! I am going by my favorite used books store today! Look out! LOL
With summer here, I think a lot of us will be posting a little less. Kathy writes great reviews too and you are lucky to have her!
Nice haul this week. We do share a similar taste:)
I seen that, were were both good girls this week..cross fingers for next week to go like this week..lol.
Your garden experience cracks me up! I hope the seeds didn’t wash away. It will be fun to see what grows, You have a surprise garden lol
Staying away is very hard which is why I have one Non Blog day that I do nothing on the blog at all and if I am caught up I take another day π It makes it less stressful having the one day.
Good girl for staying away from Edelwiess! I got sneak attacked by Netgalley this week but it’s ok. It was only one.
Enjoy all your new books!
Have a great week Storm! Happy Reading
I am glad you can laugh at my gardening woes…lol. I am really curious to see what happens..but we might try replanting and seeing what happens too..I think I might have lettuce growing all over after this weekends rain cause I planted some more and then it rained really hard and all day. π Darn it!
I did to really good staying off of NG and EW last week..hope this week goes the same..lol. π
Sounds like an eventful week. Good for you keeping your Edelweiss and Netgalley goal! Have a nice week ahead.
Thanks Daph, hope you have a great week too!
You’ve got me wanting to hit up the used bookstore! I cruised the library the other day and came up with a selection similar to yours. I’m definitely reaching more towards suspense – especially Heather Graham. Hopefully your seeds stay put! Every time I get plants in the ground it seems like some natural catastrophe happens. Have a great week!
I want to hit up the used bookstore again…lol. They are having a .50 sale coming up and I really want to check it out.. π We have good taste in books. π
I’ve been staying away from Netgalley & Edelweiss but I have been grabbing some freebies. I can’t help it lol.
I look forward to your Charlaine Harris review. I have been wanting to start this series.
Have a great week!
I couldn’t help grabbing some freebies, got to do something if I can’t have the review books..lol.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the Charlaine Harris book. π Sort of boring.
I’m with Greg and love getting used books from bookstores, but it sure doesn’t help the TBR pile. Looks like you picked up some goodies and am a fan of John Sandford, Debbie Macomber and Lee Child. It is hard to stay away from blogging, because it seems like all these ideas start popping up in your mind to write about when you least expect it. (lol) Hope you’re enjoying your weekend! Hugs…Ro
No it doesn’t help the TBR pile but it sure was fun fishing through all those books to find things I wanted..lol. π
LOL You stayed away from NG and Edelweiss but not the bookstore. Oh well, you did let go of 4 boxes worth and that’s good. Good luck with the garden. I don’t mind weeding; the problem I have is being sure what I’m pulling is really a weed. π
I can’t believe I have actually read 7 of the books you got. Oh, and I love a good used bookstore!I go pretty nuts in those. I also have Cementary Tours on my Kindle and I just reviewed A Vampire’s Promise last week π
Nice haul! I think us bloggers all get a little addicted to being on our blogs. π Thanks for stopping by my weekly update!
