The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope this year goes better!
Weather wise this has been a nasty start to the new year! It’s been cold and miserable and we had snow and ice and I am ready for spring! Here is a few pics of so you can see what we have to drive through living out in the country down a lane! It’s pretty but nasty.

So I finished Virgin River season two and the ending kind of pissed me off but I sort of knew something like it was going to happen. I think I must read the book series to see how things go and how different it is from the show…lol. I also started watching Poldark and fell down a rabbit hole with that one! 🙂
Other than that I don’t really have much to chat about. Have a great week and happy reading!

Books I have added
Nothing that I can remember.
Books read last week

- The Masked City – I liked it but maybe not quite as much as the first one but I am curious about the next one!
- Root Magic – I thought this was okay but parts of it was a bit on the boring side.
- The Animal Rescue Agency – Cute but problematic though kids would enjoy it.
- Revolver Road – The third book in the Harper McClain series which gets me all caught up! Yay! I will admit I wasn’t sure if I would like this series as the MC really bothered me in the first book but she has grown me and I really enjoyed this one.
Currently reading

- Alone – So far it’s not to bad. I still think reading a book told in verse is really weird but I keep thinking of it as a story told in short sentences and pay no attention to the titles of the poems…lol.
- The Nightmare Thief – Just really getting started so only like 4% into it and have no real opinion yet.
What might be up next

Color Street
It’s a new year and I am looking for some new party peeps! We don’t have to do the facebook parties there are different ways to do it so hit me up if you want to give it a try!

Thought I might as well make my nails match the weather! 🙂 Snowflakes!
How was your week? What did you get?
Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books
I know Winter has just started but I am ready for spring! We just had ice and a few fat snowflakes. Since we didn’t have to go anywhere, I wasn’t too bothered. I cannot wait to see what you think of An Unexpected Peril!
Stormi
I can’t wait to get to that one!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Oh man, you definitely got more snow than we did. We had a bit of ice and a dusting of snow, but nothing ever stuck. I like snow, but I don’t like driving in it either.
Yay for not adding to the TBR pile! Hope you enjoy your reading week!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Stormi
You were lucky! Snow is pretty when its somewhere else…lol.
Tammy @ Books, Bones & Buffy
I know you hate snow but it’s something we never get here so I love seeing photos. Have a good week!
Stormi
I am glad to provide you with snow photos as long as it’s not very often. 🙂
Laura Thomas
Uh oh. I’ve not started the next season of Virgin River. Now I’m worried. LOL That snow looks pretty but I sure don’t miss the stuff. Happy New Year, Stormi!
Stormi
Prepare yourself for Virgin River…lol. I am just glad to know there is a season 3 coming!
Michelle
I LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS ON THE TREES! Those pictures you sent me were so pretty, we had a burst of snow and ice today but it stopped. I was walking the dog when it started and it was so pretty.
I need to binge watch something new, I am on a Bones kick again. I need to make a new list of stuff to watch, maybe even make a post. You should do review posts for movies you watch!
Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! miss you!!! xx
Stormi
Yes, snow and ice look pretty on trees but not to drive in…blah. I haven’t seen Bones is a while!
Greg
Yikes you did get a lot of snow/ ice- we did too but not like that! Our roads were slippery but a re a lot better now…
I hope you like Five Total strangers. I thought it was pretty decent- a good snowy thriller. 🙂
Have a good week!
Stormi
Yeah, not a fan of the nasty ice! So far I am enjoying Five Total Strangers!
Anne - Books of My Heart
Gorgeous photos. I had that in Minnesota for many years and I’m trying a new climate now. I hope you are enjoying the Invisible Library series. I think it is fun. Happy New Year!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Stormi
I am excited to try the third book in the Invisible Library as I think I might like it more than book two. I like Kia and he wasn’t in it as much…lol.
Barb @ Booker T Farm
Sometimes you need to fall down a binge-series rabbit hole. I know EXACTLY how you feel about Virgin River. I think snow is beautiful but we had a while Christmas for the first time in 10 years so I’ve had my share.
Stormi
I am so done with snow. 🙂
Katherine
I am not a winter fan and I’m really glad we don’t have snow and ice! I wouldn’t mind a day of snow if I didn’t have to go out in it in any way shape or form and it melted quickly. It’s pretty but only from a distance. I really need to try Virgin River – either the books or the show. I’ve tried neither at this point. Hope you’re having a great week.
Stormi
You should try Virgin River it’s a pretty good drama/romance type show and I do want to try the books so maybe do them first…lol. 🙂
Berls
I’m with you Stormi, spring is more than welcome to come anytime now! We’ve actually had nice weather, but still, I don’t like the idea that we could have cold weather any time.
Stay warm 🙂
Stormi
We have had a decent winter, but still ready for warmer weather!
