The Week In Review #327

November 22, 2020 Memes 9

The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

This week has been a sad week for me as one of my good friends passed away. He has been battling a heart condition for a while now, but this year he had an episode and only had 5% of his heart going so we knew it would only be a matter of time and he lasted a lot longer than he probably should have. His liver and kidney functions shut down and there was just nothing they could really do for him. It’s so sad because he was only 56 years old. So just not been in the best of moods this week. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Now on to weather, again we have had a very strange weather week as it’s been in the mid seventies most of the week though it’s going back down and this week will be in the 50’s since it rained Saturday and today.

So honestly I haven’t really did much of anything this week so not a lot to say. Have a great week and happy reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

  • My Best Friend is Extinct – This is about a boy who on a trip finds an injured animal that shouldn’t be around as it’s extinct and he has to keep him a secret.

Books read last week

  • One For the Books – One of my absolute favorite cozy series!!! Everyone should read it, and start at the beginning! πŸ™‚ Loved it!
  • Frostheart – This was okay but I was hoping to like it a bit more than I did.
  • Dying Wishes – I enjoyed this one as much as the others in this series! It’s a fun cozy adventure mystery series. 10hrs and 50 minutes listened at 1.75x.
  • The Jumbies – This was pretty good it is about Caribbean folklore about some spooky things in the woods called Jumbies and how one girl has to try and save her village from one of them who wants to destroy it. This was 5hrs and 9minutes and I listened to it at 1.75x.

Currently reading

  • Nightmare – I made progress on this one at got to 41% and I am still finding it a bit confusing.
  • The Uncommoners – It’s okay but just not really feeling it.
  • Pages and Co. – I just started it last night and already almost as far as I am in The Uncommoners that I have tried working on all week…lol, so guess I like it a bit more. πŸ™‚
  • The Island of Monsters – I have been working on this one from Hoopla, it’s kind of my phone read…lol.

What might be up next

I am not sure, guess it depends on how much of what I am currently reading I get done. πŸ™‚

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT read

So sorry to hear of your friend passing away. It seems especially dreadful during this time since you can’t really get together with the rest of the friends and family to mourn together. Will keep his friends and family in my thoughts.

Nice new read! Hope you enjoy it once you get to read it!
