The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.
How is it already NOVEMBER!!!
The up and down weather continues!!! Though this week it was mostly very cold and rainy but then towards end of the week we got 60s!!!! Yes! Would be happy if it stayed there but I know it won’t. 🙁 Though I do think we have some 70s coming but that is the type of weather that gives me a cold! Yep, I caught a bit of a cold as I hadn’t put plastic on my window by my head where the AC is (stays there all year long) and it got rainy and cold and I got a sore throat, but doctor said just take some over the counter stuff and if it doesn’t go away call, but I am fine. 🙂 Over the counter stuff worked.
I forgot to mention but I started an 8 week nutrition type class it’s all about mindful eating and a healthy way to lose weight, so we shall see how it goes. Two classes down and I hate food journals is about all I have to say…lol. Missed the last class as I was sick and didn’t want to contaminate just in case, so I have to catch up on that but I am hoping to learn something good! 🙂
Well, I think that is about all I have to ramble on about. Happy reading!!

Books I have added
Netgalley

- Down Comes the Night – A gorgeously gothic, deeply romantic YA debut fantasy about two enemies trapped inside a crumbling mansion, with no escape from the monsters within. Hopefully this is as good as it sounds…lol. I must have wished for this a while back because I was sure it came out this year but now it seems to not be coming out till March 2021 and my wish was granted. 🙂
- Teen Killers Club – Framed for the murder of her best friend, a young girl joins a super-secret society of teenage assassins to avoid a lifetime behind bars–and discovers her own true self–in this mesmerizing debut novel. You might have seen this on my anticipated reads. I got the audio from Netgalley so let’s hope the new update fixed it!!!
Books read last week

- Betrayal – Meh, you can see I just did a spotlight for this one during the blog tour…I couldn’t give it 3 stars so I had to back out…lol. I will review it later as not part of tour but yeah total snoozefest and I almost didn’t finish it but I did.
- The Haunting of Gillespie House – Another meh book. My week was not a good one lol. This book was just boring and simple and the MC was so nosey it drove me crazy. It wasn’t her house so don’t go nosing in all the rooms and breaking doors to get in locked ones! It makes me ranty…lol.
- Under Ordshaw – The only decent one of the bunch and it was kind of a sci-fi fantasy about creatures in an underground type work…there are some fighting fairies…lol.
DNFed for now

- The Devil and the Dark Water – I think this could be a case of I need the actual book and not the audiobook. Maybe…lol. I was super confused and a bit bored but I think because there are so many characters I missed thing and so I want to try and get the book at some point and try again before giving up on it fully.
Currently reading

- Nightmare – Just starting this so no opinions yet but I heard it was good so I have high hopes and really hope I am not let down! I can’t handle another dud!
- These Violent Delights – Yep, still slogging through this one. It’s just really slow and not at all what I was hoping but I have managed to get over halfway!
What might be up next
Lots of middle grade books coming in November because I am doing Believeathon round 3 on booktube! 🙂
How was your week? What did you get?
Michelle@BecauseReading
Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling good. I hope you feel better soon. My sinus is driving me crazy, it’s why I like winter so much.
Oh that class sounds interesting, I was just talking to my husband about healthy eating, He wasn’t happy about it but I think Julia would be interesting.lol This house could use a little more healthy eating. 🙂
I hope you have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! xx

Hope your nutrition class goes well and you get a lot out of it!

Yes, the weather was annoying this week. Cold with so much rain. Our dogs think that they have to take a walk every day and I found myself taking them around the block with light showers. I am glad you are feeling better. The nutrition class sounds like it could be fun. I hope you have a great week!

The weather’s been up and down here too although mostly cooler. I went out last night to see the full moon around midnight and it was all clouded over and raining already lol. And yeah… I can’t believe it’s November!!!

I was one of the fews who didn’t like Stuart Turnton’s previous novel, so I’m not tempted to try that one. I’m glad you’re feeling better and I’d love to hear about your class 🙂

I hate food journals too but I hope the class helps!
