The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? ย If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.
Is it just me or are the days just flying by! Maybe it’s because I feel like I am actually doing things with trying to do the Color Street thing and so I have busy work again but I can’t believe it’s already August!!!
So not a lot really has happened except working CS and then chores around the house so I don’t really have much to talk about.

Books I have added
Netgalley

- The Night Swim – Heard some good things about this author and this book so I was curious. I don’t even really know what it’s about and I am cool with that…lol. I didn’t look. ๐
- All the Devils are Here – Not a clue what it’s about except it’s the newest book in the CI Gamache series!!! Now it’s a race against time to listen the last four in the series so I can get to this one…lol.
So I got auto approved for MacMillan audio and this could be a bad thing in a good way!!! LOL Hold me back! ๐
Books read last week

- Peace Talks – I am really glad the author decided to do some more Dresden books though this one kind of felt like a build up for a finale so I hope not but it left me really curious about the next one!
- The Nature of the Beast – I am glad to report that I enjoyed this one a lot more than the past two! I was getting worried about the series…lol.
- Murder in Waiting – I enjoyed it but maybe not as much as some of the previous ones. Certain things just graded on my nerves.
- The Goodbye Man – Second book in the Colter Shaw series and just as good as the first one!
- The Murder of Roger Ackroyd – Book four in the Hercule Poirot series and very enjoyable. The ending of this was spoiled for me in a show though can’t remember which show, so took a bit of the surprise out of things.
Currently reading
Another week in which I attempt to read all the books! Or I am in a mood…lol.

- Girl, Unframed – Still not real far into this one, but plan on reading more on it this week.
- Devolution – Only a couple chapters into it, not sure I am keen on footnotes in my books.
- The Language of Ghost – This book happened because I couldn’t sleep Friday night and was reading in the dark on my phone…lol. 10% in and it’s okay so far.
- The Shining – You have probably seen this on my list before cause I keep starting but not finishing. This time I am going to follow through! Already listened farther than before, it’s okay.
- A Great Reckoning – Another CI Gamache book as I am racing to finish them before the new one…lol. I am almost half through it and I like it.
What might be up next

How was your week? What did you get?
Color Street news
So August will be my first full month with Color street since I just started aboutย three week ago. Looking for some buddies to help me out and host a party to grow my business so if you think it might be something you think is fun it’s all done virtual! Facebook group parties are what is happening now since the virus junk. Help a fellow book nerd out! ๐ ๐
Newest mani! Munich Mulberry with Underground magic accent nail.
Michelle@BecauseReading
I can’t wait for Color Street to have the holiday nails. Those are always my favorite.
I can’t even believe it’s August, I feel like I am still trying to process March.
Congrats on your auto approval and good luck! lol
I hope you have a great week, Stormi! Miss you! Happy Reading! xx
Stormi
I know, I need to save up my money for the Halloween ones! ๐ I can’t wait for them!
I might need some good luck with that auto approval since they have great mystery thrillers! LOL I haven’t had a lot of time to browse NG and that is probably a good thing.
Miss you too! ox
Tammy @ Books, Bones & Buffy
I’m glad Color Street is going well. I don’t do my nails otherwise I’d join in the fun๐ And yes, the days are flying by for me too!
Stormi
I use to not do my nails till I found Color Street now it’s so fun to have pretty nails…lol and easy. ๐ You could always host a party even if you don’t want the manis maybe a friend would like them. ๐
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Oddly I feel like the days are still dragging…except weekends of course! Those always fly by! Lol. Glad you’re keeping busy with the new business!
Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones. I hope you enjoy them all!

Sorry they are not flying by for you. I think if I had a regular job like you I would feel the same way.
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
You’ve been reading up a storm! (Pun intended) Just curious: how do you get through so many audiobooks in a week? It’s impressive!
I’d like to read the Inspector Gamache books someday, and also the Dresden Files. And The Language of Ghosts is in my ARC queue, so I’ll be interested to see how you like it.
Good luck with Color Street! I have to keep my nails ridiculously short because they always break below the quick, so I try not to draw attention to them. But I always enjoy them on other people!
I posted about my week and new books in my Sunday Post today.
Stormi
I listen to so many because I don’t listen to music…lol. I listen when outside, walking or gardening, exercising on my bike, while doing chores around the house and when on the computer. I listen at anywhere from 1.5x to 1.85x speed. If I listen to anything lower than that it bores me as I got use to listening to a faster speed. ๐
I really like the Inspector Gamache series though it did take a few books to really get into it. I am enjoying The Language of Ghost so far, I think I needed something not a mystery…lol.
Short nails can be prettied with color street too! I have short nails…lol. ๐
Anne - Books of My Heart
You read and reviewed a lot this week. You have some great one in your haul. I really love the Harry Dresden books so I’m excited there will be more this year yet.
Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post ย ย
Stormi
I really did, I swear I don’t think I get to that much till I look back at what I wrote down and I am like oh wow…lol. I can’t wait for the next Dresden!! ๐
Aj @ Read All The Things!
I also feel like time is going really fast. Iโm cramming my days full of stuff, and none of it is very interesting! It does pass the time, though. Have a great week!
Greg
Yeah time is definitely flying by! So weird how it’s already August. And ooh the Night Swim. I thought that one sounded pretty good. Devolution sounds wild too, although yeah footnotes, not sure about those lol.
Heather @ RandomRedheadedRamblings
I bought Devolution the other day in the Kindle sale, Iโm looking forward to reading it, I loved World War Z so hopefully it wont disappoint!
Have a good week!

I really like that manicure. I am surprised how much my nails grew out in just the two weeks I had on my first CS nails. And surprising they lasted much longer than I anticipated – I should have listened to you and Paula. I’m super excited to kick of football season (if there is one) with my new set when you get them!
I agree time is flying as well. I hope the next Dresden book isn’t the last as well. I know how much you love them!
Shelleyrae @ Bookโd Out
I think I requested Night Swim recently but itโs not published here for a few more months.
Wishing you a great reading week
