Week ReviewThe Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So I told everyone that my job was coming to an end because I thought it was, but apparently I am getting called back on Jan. 12th. That didn’t happen last year so maybe they like me, they really like me..LOL. Even though I am getting called back it’s still a seasonal job which means they can lay me back off at any time if they are not busy enough to have the seasonal staff there.  But I will take it! 🙂

So sort of was in a reading slump or it was just the books I picked to read but I ended up not finishing Wicked Ways by Lisa Jackson and then seen a lot of other reviewers who didn’t like the book either, so made me feel better. I don’t think I have  give up on it but it just wasn’t hitting the spot so will try it one more time before an official DNF. 🙂  That being said I think I have just grabbed up the slow movers this week as Luck Uglies started out pretty slow but has picked up a bit..but only 45% in and I should be

Other than that not much going on around here. 🙂

Well I did it again, I joined another challenge. I think I will only sign up for another challenge if it’s an audio one..I need one of those. 🙂

A-Z author reading challenge

Books I have added

 Netgalley *hangs head*

criminalconfections touredtodeath

Wasn’t going to get this one then I got curious. I wasn’t a huge fan of Cruel Beauty but thought maybe I might like this one. Got to try an author at least twice right. 🙂

When will I learn that I can’t just go browse that I always end up with something.

Audio review books

The accidental demon slayer stolensixpence Boydrewmonsters murdermysterysuite circle of influence

One of those books my look familiar from last week as I got the ebook version of The Accidental Demonslayer and then found it on audiobook jukebox to review and thought it might be fun on audio. 🙂

 Kindle .99 buys

cutlass A Vampire Christmas Carol

Michelle from Because reading keeps gushing about Cutlass and since it was only .99 I had to grab it and I seen A Vampire Christmas Carol on a couple blogs and they both liked it so snatched it up too. 🙂

This one is no longer free but still cheap at .99! 🙂

  1. YAY for being called back, employment is good. 🙂

I also have Murder at the Book Group and Criminal Confection. Petticoat Detective and Mistletoe Magic look good too.

Have a good week and happy reading!

  2. YAY for being called back for work in January, Stormi! I am pretty sure they like you a lot – how in the world could they not?

Nice haul this week, even if you hang your head because of your eARCs… there has to be a reason why Edelweiss and Netgalley accept your requests 😉

I hope you’ll enjoy all your new books, and that you’re enjoying your weekend.

  3. OOOoh nice! Feeling the envy over Crimson Bound! I don’t think EW likes me. My request is still “pending”. I had a request once be “pending” for 2 months before they finally rejected me. Sigh…

Anyway, hope you enjoy all your awesome new read and thanks for visiting my STS!

    • I’m with Jessica–jealous over Crimson Bound. I like Cruel Beauty. The ending was weird, but I’m to chalk it up to the fact I was listening to it and maybe if I had read it and could go back and re-read it would make more sense. 🙂

Congratulations on being able to be recalled at your job!

  4. I finished a book I was reading and now have no idea what to read next. I guess that’s not a slump, just me being indecisive. LOL. Murder in the Mystery Suite looks good. And the cover of Crimson Bound is interesting.

  5. Congrats on the call back! Yay! I was good this week and did not get anything from NetGalley! Baby steps, baby steps. lol I don’t even go to Edelweiss. I have an account, but found it hard to navigate and haven’t been back. Of course, that was like 2 yrs ago. It may be easier now. Hope you enjoy A Vampire’s Christmas Carol! 😀

  6. Congrats on the job call back! Great news! I’ve had the Accidental Demon Slayer in my tbr pile for a long time. I will be interested in what you think.
