July 2, 2017 Memes 21

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Wow, I can’t believe it’s already July and my B-day is coming up in a few days..ugh. I just want to forget it’s coming as it just depresses me…lol. I really don’t have much to report this week. Both my dad and I have been a little puny this week but I am getting over it but he still sniffling and has a scratch sounding throat.

I haven’t been in much of a reading mood but I think it’s cause of The Sixth Victim, it put me in a funk. I am hoping some fun MG books will help me out of it. Maybe it means I need to read something besides mysteries, though that is really hard…lol.

Weather here has been pretty decent but it’s been raining. I think starting tomorrow it will rain till Wed. I just hope it’s not to bad of storms, we just got a storm shelter put in but that don’t mean I want to use it. πŸ™‚

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Netgalley:

Β
  • Scarlett Hart: Monster Hunter – #Michellemademedoit cause I seen it on her TSP last week I think…lol. It looked really cool so couldn’t help myself. It says it doesn’t come out till next year!
  • 30 Second Death – Book Two in the Tobi Tobias Mysteries and I still need to read book one. Sighs. πŸ™‚

Audiobooks for review:

Β
  • Prawn of the Dead – I love Dakota Cassidy’s books and this sounds fun. Love that title!
  • Indecent Werewolf Exposure – I love this author too! Her books are always fun. πŸ™‚

Books read last week

Β Β
  • Cap’s Place – This was a decent start to a series about a lawyer turned bar owner who ends up having to help one of his bartenders who gets in trouble. It’s a mystery/crime novel.
  • Killer on the Fens – I really like this series and this is book four. This one was really good I like DI Nikki Galena even dealing with family matters she still catches the bad guy. πŸ™‚
  • The Sixth Victim – This one was kind of a bummer cause it set in the time of Jack the Ripper but it was really slow going and I almost put it down once. Part of me liked it and another part didn’t. πŸ™

I hope you and your dad are feeling better soon. You are like me…I picked up 30 Second Death from NetGalley too and I still need to read the first one. I just can’t help myself sometimes. Enjoy your reading and Happy Birthday!

I am doing better but dad still has it a little. Yeah, I have a bad habit of grabbing the first and not getting to it till the second is out. πŸ™‚

OMG WHEN IS YOUR BIRTHDAY???????? Mine is on Wednesday! I love having a July birthday and it’s both cool and unfortunate that it falls right after a holiday. On the one hand, we celebrate my birthday on July 4th because it’s a day off from work for everyone. πŸ˜€ On the other hand, we celebrate my birthday on July 4th. -_- But hey, I love barbecuing and eating ice cream cakes so I can’t complain too much. πŸ˜€

Anyway, happy early birthday! Have a great week. =)

Happy birthday this week! And hope you have a great 4th too! It’s raining here at the moment and we keep getting rain- it’ll be nice for a while then I hear thunder or rain pouring down lol. It’s been a pretty wet June…

Sorry to hear about the reading slump. πŸ™ I think Killer on the Fens looks pretty good.

Well, the rain that we was suppose to have didn’t happen but there are still threats of rain…lol. We had a little shower but not like it was suppose too.

I hope I get out of my slump too and Killer of the Fens was good. I love that series!

My birthday is coming up this week too. Happy birthday!!! I’m not looking forward to another year older lol. I’m getting burned out with the genre I’ve been reading so I’m switching it up for the next books. Hopefully this will change my mood since I do have a lot of ARCs to still read. I hope you have a great week and a Happy 4th of July!

My Birthday is actually next week but that is coming up too quickly. Happy Birthday to you too! Some times we just need to switch things up. πŸ™‚

I hate book induced slumps! That’s too bad about the Sixth Victim being so slow. A MG adventure definitely sounds like the cure. There are so many fun ones! Hope the puniness goes away soon. I hate that feeling when I don’t feel quite right but am not quite sick enough to just go to bed. Sometimes I wish I’d get sick and be done with it though I always regret that when I’m actually sick! Have a great week!

I hope you and your dad both get back to normal quickly. It looks like it is going to rain here now. A cool breeze would help with the heat. I’d like to go sit on the back porch to work, but it’s just too hot.
