The Week In Review #134

April 2, 2017 Misc. 13

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

I can’t believe it’s already April! Only a few months to go till class is over, I am hoping to enroll in Photoshop next semester. That is the one I really wanted to try first, but got the hard one over first…lol. It’s not really been that bad. I bought the student version that gives me all the programs and so I have it till I am done with school. My father was sweet and bought me a drawing pad so now I am set up at home so I can practice and work on homework at home. 🙂

Despite my tomatoes not doing so well things are still going on in the garden. Last year I planted Asparagus and couldn’t pick them as you have to let them develop. This year I can pick them once and then let them grow out like funky ferns…lol. Then next year I can pick them all I want! 🙂 I have already eaten some and they were pretty good. (Have a pic but my computer is being a stinker, either that or my phone…lol.)

I am so tired of the rain, we needed it but I am done. It’s done nothing but rain this past week, it’s been cold and I want warm spring weather not cold. I am so glad I am not living up north where they are still getting snow in places. 🙂 Guess what the forecast is for this week…RAIN! 🙁

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

  • Lemons – There is a Bigfoot on the cover! How could I resist, and it sounds cute. (Blog Tour)
  • The Antique House Murders – Loved the first book so couldn’t pass it up.

All in all not to bad, I really am trying to limit my grabs.

Bought (kindle)

  • Murder Con Carne – #Barbmademedoit 🙂 She had one from this series on her stack and I couldn’t help but pick up book one. .99
  • 50 Harbor Street – Love this series and been picking them up as they go on sale. 🙂 $1.99
  • Deadlock Jack – Was curious about this one when I saw it on Netgalley so since it was on sale I got it. .99

Books read last week

  • The Jekyll Revelation – Did not like it…bummer.
  • Grace Takes Off – Another great installment to the Manor Mystery series.
  • The Crow Trap – Finished this one last night. I liked it but it was longer than I like. 🙂

Currently reading

  • Southern Fried – Really liked the first book so it’s nice to be back in Cottonwood with Sherrif Kenni Lowry.
  • Sherlock Holmes – Yep, still working on this one. It’s kind of on hold till I finish the other audio on my current list. 🙂
  • Deep Down Dead – I got about 5 hours left of this one so want to get it in and then I will go back to some SH, before taking on the next audio. 🙂

What might be up next

That is great that you’re now able to work on your homework at home. We are getting ready to plant peas and lettuces next weekend. I will be planting more towards the end of April. I’m so sick of rain too. I agree that we need it, but I really dislike it. I have a 10 minute to and from my car to get to work. Really sucks when it rains. I hope you have a great week.

It finally stopped raining yesterday in the AM. Today is chilly but refreshing, I told the kids they need to go outside, I don’t want to see them all day.
What happened to your tomatoes? I had that happen to me with Carrots, they didn’t grow or something and the next year I was like what the heck is that and it was carrots. They were so yummy. I need to try those again if I can get my garden up.

Hope you have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox

I’m working up the courage to get outside and start cleaning out the garden. Then comes fertilizer and then the actual plants. I’m hoping for better luck this year as last year was dreadful. You got The Antique House Murders! It looks so fun! I’m quite sure I have the first one but of course I haven’t read it. Story of my life. Have a great week and good luck with class!

Rain, rain, go away. Yeah, we had the same. It was dark, cold and damp. Glad you were able to get a student version of software.I bet the photoshop class will be fun. Have an awesome week!

It poured this morning shortly after I got up. It was quite a storm! It was so loud the dogs thought it was someone messing around at one of the houses and they went barking their heads off. Glad your asparagus is fairing well.

I have Deadlight Jack too. I forget when I got it. Isn’t it book 2 of something? Don’t worry, you got me too this week. I just got approved for the second Melody Bittersweet book this morning. We’ve had a lot of rain too. I Wish it would stop. Glad you can work on homework at home now.

  7. Greg

Sounds like you are doing great with your class. And Photoshop would be awesome to learn about. It has been a crappy early spring so far, here too. We got into the 50’s but that’s about as warm as it got.

Lermons looks fun w/ that Bigfoot lol. The Uncommoners and The awakening both look good.

  8. Laura Thomas

Sorry you got rained on so much. We had one day and it was much needed. I go back to work tomorrow and it’s supposed to be stormy in the morning. Glad it held off so I could work outside this weekend. Enjoy those new books, Stormi.

We are expecting a snow/rain mix this week. I am so ready for some warmer weather. Hope this week is great.

For once we haven’t been having rain….knock on wood it’ll continue. It’s great you can do your homework at home, plus more time to practice.
