Week ReviewThe Week In Review is my way of putting together Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Please go check out the host blogs for more information on these memes.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Since we had our dinner last Saturday I pretty much did nothing on Thanksgiving but play a video game a rented just for my long weekend..Assassin’s Creed Rogue! I love Assassin’s Creed and I really wish Santa would bring me a Xbox One but I have a feeling it’s something I am going to have to get myself..maybe with my income tax Β Friday we ventured out in the afternoon and got some groceries but didn’t go to any sales..then I came back home and played my Yeah, its going to be one of those type of weekends where nothing gets done but game goes back on Monday so I must play as much as I can..and I can lose days in a game when I it’s why I don’t do it as often as I use too.. πŸ™‚

I heard my first round of Christmas music this morning and I was it goes already..I really wish I could get in the mood but this year I just can’t get into the mood for Holidays. I haven’t even watched a Hallmark Christmas movie yet!! Normally I am like watching them religiously on Saturdays..back to back. πŸ™ (I don’t even put up a tree..I’m telling you I am a real scrooge and this year it’s even worse..could skip the holiday and I would be fine.)

The most Christmas you might get from me is my new blog design for the holidays created by Michelle from Because Reading!! Thanks again for the cool holiday design! πŸ™‚

So I am thinking of doing a Cozy Mystery month in February and I am thinking of trying maybe doing a read-a-thon during the month for maybe a week or week and a half, but I have never hosted something like that a bit Β I am calling the month of Feb. ‘Let’s get Cozy in February’, and want to get maybe four cozy mystery authors to do a guest post and giveaway each week in February and then I will review mostly Cozy mysteries during that month..I am having a cozy addiction right Β  I thought I would see if maybe others would want to particpate in reading Cozies in Feb. and they could link the review so others could check them out. Β If anyone would like to host something like this with me I would really love a Email me at

Amazing Black Friday Deals (a fewΒ publishers are having deals this weekend!) πŸ˜‰

So this was a bit of a light week on the blog due to holidays!

Books added to my TBR pile

Bought/Freebies (Always be sure to make sure that the books are still free if you decide to get them.):

KodiaksclaimΒ DuchesswarΒ SummonsΒ Ouija WhisperlakeΒ KillerChristmasΒ LetUsPreyΒ Cryptkeeper CarrotsΒ Steelheart

So this happy little one click thing I did with all these books is what happens when I visit other blogs during their stacking the shelves, etc. LOL πŸ™‚ I also seen a review for one of Eve Langlais’s books on Rabid Reads and it made me decide to grab the first one and give it a try. That is the one I bought.

Carrots is a recommended read from Berls at Fantasy is More Fun, so I picked it up with my audibles credit. Then I seen they were having a $4.95 sale and got Steelheart as I have always been curious about that one. πŸ™‚

Grrrr, your blog wiped out my first comment.

I love the idea of a cozy mystery month but I probably won’t join in as I;m doing a challenge that month for books that have been won or received as gifts. Still, I’ll pop in and check it out and some of the books I’ve won were cozies so who knows….

A long weekend of game play sounds good, enjoy!

    • ladystorm

Yeah, I think it sounds like a cool idea, to bad you have other challenges during that time. πŸ™

I played a lot of the game I rented and still only made it to 28% so now I must buy

      Have a great week!

  2. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

Your Thanksgiving day sounds a bit like heaven! We have a tradition of doing nothing on Christmas day and I love it. Cozy February sounds so fun!! I love cozy mysteries. Right now I’m starting to drown in holiday romances but I’m starting to long for a nice cozy. Have a great week!

    • ladystorm

Doing nothing on Christmas sound great, but I will probably be at my Aunts house that day..unless we have it early. I didn’t get to many Holiday reads this year..sort of got a case of the humbugs, but I am sure I will enjoy the ones I have. πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

    • ladystorm

Your blog is where I first seen Captive was out and had to go and grab it and was starting to think I wouldn’t get it and then there was that lovely email. πŸ™‚

      Have a great week!

  3. Greg

I think a cozy February sounds pretty good, I read an occasional cozy and might jump into that. Great idea, perfect month for it! Your Thanksgiving sounds pretty good, very relaxing… πŸ™‚

Captive I don’t know anything about but I like that cover, and sometimes that’s all it takes for me is a cover. LOL. I’ll have to check it out maybe.

    • ladystorm

I think I have gotten tired of romance and UF or Paranormal romance and just needed something different and the cozies are hitting the I do hope you stop by during the event and even participate with some cozy reading. πŸ™‚

Captive is book two of a YA series. (Pawn is the first one)I am really curious to see if I will like the second one. πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

I love cozies and this is the perfect time of year for them. Sounds like fun to me.
You sure have a lot of nice new books. I see a few there I’ll have to go check out. Killer Christmas is on my Kindle. I couldn’t resist it.
Spent my Thanksgiving doing as little as possible and avoided the Black Friday madness all together. It’s been a nice relaxing four days.
    Here’s my Sunday Post –

    • ladystorm

Yeah, when I was thinking of a good time for Cozies I thought right in the middle of winter and Feb. sounded perfect. πŸ™‚ I couldn’t resist getting Killer Christmas

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

I think I’m still recovering from Thanksgiving. πŸ™‚ I usually start getting in the mood as a clean and wrap gifts in preparation for my family to arrive on Thanksgiving Day. I haven’t watched a Christmas movie yet, but I think by the end of the today at least one will be in the DVD player.

I want more time to play my video game but it’s a rental, so that means I must save up to buy I still haven’t watched a Christmas movie yet but I am sure I will before December is over, just sort of humbuggy this year.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

  6. kimbacaffeinate

Steelheart rocks and I hope you adore it. Since I put the tree up I’ve been humming holiday songs. I hope the mood catches you soon!Your Thanksgiving sounds down right awesome..

  7. ladystorm

I have had my eye on Steelheart for a while and couldn’t resist the deal on audible, so I hope I enjoy it too! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

  8. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews

I’m not at all in the Christmas mood yet, either, Stormi! It feels like the beginning of December is just too early! And December is one of the busiest months of the year, too…
You got some great books last week, though, hopefully that will help with all things not Christmasy πŸ˜€
    Have a fantastic week!

    • ladystorm

Honestly I just have a hard time getting in the mood since my mom died, she was the Christmas guru. Some years are different than others and this one I just can’t get out of the funk. πŸ™ Normally by now I have watched a ton of Christmas movies and I haven’t even watched one!

I honestly think I would probably get more in a Christmas mood if I had

I hope you catch the Christmas bug soon!!

  9. A Voracious Reader

That sounds like a perfect Thanksgiving to me! I love playing Diablo III with hubby, but we haven’t played in forever. We need to work in some gaming time. I love your new blog header. I wish I could do stuff like that. Maybe I need to take a graphics course at the community college. I have lots I need for my blog. Think Michelle would take pity on me and toss me a bone? Maybe she’d be interested in designing the graphic for Monster Porn Monday. *winks* And some of those freebies look familiar. hehehe Have a wonderful week! πŸ™‚

    • ladystorm

I have never played Diablo III, maybe I should try that one. I am a huge Assassin’s Creed fan and I can play those games all day and not even realize the time has gone. I played one day for over 5 hours and I was like wow, it’s what time..ugh there went the πŸ™‚

You should totally ask Michelle, a couple of us have been trying to get her to do more!
