I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Since we had our dinner last Saturday I pretty much did nothing on Thanksgiving but play a video game a rented just for my long weekend..Assassin’s Creed Rogue! I love Assassin’s Creed and I really wish Santa would bring me a Xbox One but I have a feeling it’s something I am going to have to get myself..maybe with my income tax money..lol. Friday we ventured out in the afternoon and got some groceries but didn’t go to any sales..then I came back home and played my game..lol. Yeah, its going to be one of those type of weekends where nothing gets done but game play..it goes back on Monday so I must play as much as I can..and I can lose days in a game when I play..so it’s why I don’t do it as often as I use too.. 🙂
I heard my first round of Christmas music this morning and I was like..ugh..here it goes already..I really wish I could get in the mood but this year I just can’t get into the mood for Holidays. I haven’t even watched a Hallmark Christmas movie yet!! Normally I am like watching them religiously on Saturdays..back to back. 🙁 (I don’t even put up a tree..I’m telling you I am a real scrooge and this year it’s even worse..could skip the holiday and I would be fine.)
The most Christmas you might get from me is my new blog design for the holidays created by Michelle from Because Reading!! Thanks again for the cool holiday design! 🙂
So I am thinking of doing a Cozy Mystery month in February and I am thinking of trying maybe doing a read-a-thon during the month for maybe a week or week and a half, but I have never hosted something like that before..so a bit nervous..lol. I am calling the month of Feb. ‘Let’s get Cozy in February’, and want to get maybe four cozy mystery authors to do a guest post and giveaway each week in February and then I will review mostly Cozy mysteries during that month..I am having a cozy addiction right now..lol. I thought I would see if maybe others would want to particpate in reading Cozies in Feb. and they could link the review so others could check them out. If anyone would like to host something like this with me I would really love a helper..lol. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What you might have missed last week
Kathy’s review of Dies the Fire by S. M. Stirling
Kathy’s review of Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
Stormi’s review of Deceived by Irene Hannon
Kathy’s review of Light My Fire by G. A. Aiken
Stormi’s review of Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger
Amazing Black Friday Deals (a few publishers are having deals this weekend!) 😉
So this was a bit of a light week on the blog due to holidays!
Books added to my TBR pile
Bought/Freebies (Always be sure to make sure that the books are still free if you decide to get them.):
So this happy little one click thing I did with all these books is what happens when I visit other blogs during their stacking the shelves, etc. LOL 🙂 I also seen a review for one of Eve Langlais’s books on Rabid Reads and it made me decide to grab the first one and give it a try. That is the one I bought.
Carrots is a recommended read from Berls at Fantasy is More Fun, so I picked it up with my audibles credit. Then I seen they were having a $4.95 sale and got Steelheart as I have always been curious about that one. 🙂
Might be up next
So what has happened on your blog? Did you get any good reads this week?
