BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

This week ended a bit stressful but overall it wasn’t a bad week. Not a lot has really happened besides going to my design class. This week we played around with Typography and started to learn about playing with different fonts. We had a contest and we only had an hour to work on something and I got third place, which surprised me because I thought some of the others were better than mine. He gave out prizes too, I got some sketching pencils. πŸ™‚

This was my poster Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  and this is what I won. πŸ™‚

I worked some more in my garden and I have seeded some tomato plants in my greenhouse. I need to get started on seeding some more. So far though I had 11 out of 14 sprout up! πŸ™‚

There are my little plants a whole week old…lol. πŸ™‚

The weather here has been nice and they have been talking about spring might be coming early but I still don’t trust the weather, I think March might sneak in and bit us but I am enjoying the nice weather. πŸ™‚

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

  • Tightening theThreads – Book 5 of the Mainly Needlepoint mystery series, which is a favorite of mine so can’t wait to read this one! πŸ™‚

Books from publisher

  • I am super excited about getting The Crow Trap as I personally asked Macmillian for it not knowing if they would send it to me or not. πŸ™‚
  • The Murderer’s Ape is from Random House Children books and it sounds interesting cause I believe it’s from the Apes point of view. πŸ™‚

Thanks Macmillian and Random House!

Audio from author to review

  • Dead Like me – First in the Detective Kate Springer series and sounded pretty good so I can’t wait to see what I think. πŸ™‚

Review audios from Β Tantor Audio

  • Both of these are book three in series I have. Still need to get to Sinner before Rebel and Book one Dark Crimes is coming up on my TBR pile so I hope I like it since I now have up to book tree. πŸ™‚

Book bought

  • Silent Scream – Heard good things about this one and the second book so since it was .99 I grabbed it. πŸ™‚

Β Β Β

All free at the time of purchase. One of my wishlist books and the others from Book Adrenaline, that newsletter gets me every time…lol.

Books read last week

  • The Devil Crept In – Kind of creepy but not as creepy as I was hoping.

Didn’t get much reading done this week as I just didn’t feel like reading. πŸ™

Currently reading

Β Β Β

The reason I haven’t done much reading, can’t make up my mind what I want to read. πŸ™

  • All Good Deeds -It’s okay and I have read about 12% Got to kick it in gear though cause it’s my TBR pile read that has to be reviewed next Saturday.
  • Game of Shadows – I am 17% in and it’s getting kind of interesting.
  • The Unseeing – Only read a few chapters and it’s at the bottom of the reading pile right now…lol.
  • I Blew Up The Moon – This series is fun and strange. The MC wants to be a superhero but her super powers are more for being a super villain and she kind of likes it…she is a mad scientist. I have about 9 hours left out of 13.5.

What might be up next

  1. Like the poster and congratulations on your win. We are having spring time weather here with no need to wear coats today as long as you have a jumper. Like you, I don’t trust it. I hope you enjoy Silent Scream. I just read the second in the series and it was excellent.

I am sure I will enjoy Silent Scream, those I know that have read this series have enjoyed what they have read. πŸ™‚

  2. I’m super excited about the new Lea Waite! I love that series! That’s awesome about the poster and that’s a good prize. While maybe not eventful it sounds like you’re having fun. I’m not trusting the weather either. I want to start getting stuff ready for the garden but I know as soon as I do it’ll freeze and kill everything. Have a great week!

    • Stormi

I love that Lea Waite series too! My class has been interesting though I think some of it goes over my head…lol. I am hoping to be able to get the adobe creative cloud soon for my own personal use then I can play at home too and I think the extra practice will help. πŸ™‚

Right now with my garden I am just weeding and fertilizing and in my house I am doing some seeding cause it takes the tomato plants a long time to grow and the nursery I got my seeds from said start them in Feb. so I did. πŸ™‚ I am worried that it might hit us with a freeze late too by if I do plant early I have some plastic to protect stuff with. πŸ™‚

  3. What a bunch of great books, Stormi! You seedlings are growing fine. I’m getting ready to start some Sunflowers. Need to pick the right place in the yard to plant them once they get going. Last time I did them I forgot to plant them in rows and didn’t get any seeds, though they grew huge and looked so pretty. LOL

    • Stormi

They are growing really good, I need to start some more. I didn’t know you had to plant Sunflowers in rows to make them produce…learned something. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

Thanks, I was really surprised I won cause I really didn’t know what I was doing…lol. The Ape book does look interesting. πŸ™‚

  4. Congrats on winning! You’re doing a great job with your class. Your plants look so great! I repotted all of my plants in a large planter because the new puppy took them for a bender in their little pots. She still dug up one of my snapdragons this week, but that has been the only loss so far. And it better be the last!

  5. Yeah I hope March doesn’t blindside us. πŸ™‚ Congrats on doing well on your project! And I love tomatoes from the garden- one of the things I’m looking forward to with warmer weather.

    the Murderers Ape looks interesting.

  6. I like you work and see why you won. Great job. So nice he gave out prizes. I see a Heather Graham book, I took a break from her and now I am kicking Hope this week is amazing and you get more seeding done. I would love a greenhouse.

  7. I’m thinking Spring might come early here too. We have mid to upper 60s all week. I’m like you though, I don’t trust it not to change before Spring really comes. I like your poster. Great job on third place. Not to shabby. πŸ™‚

  8. Congrats on the 3rd place in your class. You do sound as if you’re enjoying it.

I’m sorry to hear your week ended badly though and hope everything is okay.

  9. You really had to mention Book Adrenaline …. previously unknown to me and now taking up valuable reading time by adding yet even MORE books to get lost in the shuffle that is my Kindle Cloud!

Hi. My name is Karen. I’m a book hoarder.
