Well, one more day of school and the semester is over. I am a little excited and nervous about taking the Graphic Design Illustrator class next semester. I really hope I like it and it doesn’t overwhelm me since I haven’t ever done anything like that. I use to love art class in High School but boy was that a long time ago!! 🙂

I am glad those who love horror and even a few who don’t have loved my 12 Days of Horror, it’s almost over and I am going to miss it as it was fun! Might have to do that again next year. I will have a few holiday top tens and then my Out with the Old, In with the New post to countdown to the new year starting on Dec. 20th! 🙂

Got a fully booked December and hoping to get as much blogging in as I can before the new semester starts so there is no pressure. 🙂

Okay, so I am totally done with the weather and ready for spring. 🙂 We had two days that dipped down into the teens at night and they even mentioned that bad four letter word, SNOW! Thankfully, it never happened. I don’t know how you all who are up in the north handle the cold and snow…blah. Tomorrow is a heat wave cause it’s will be 52, but then it goes back to cold. 🙁 I was so enjoying the nice mild weather in Nov. and beginning of Dec. 🙂 Sighs.

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Big ole nothing!!! 🙂 I am sure this weird spree of getting nothing will end soon….lol.

Secret Santa gift!!!!

Was gifted this audio from my secret Santa and told there is more goodies to come so I am excited! I have been wanting to try this series for a long time. Thank you!!!!!! 🙂

Bought Kindle:

  • Unnatural Causes – It’s about a bunch of different crime cases from Kentucky to Pennsylvania. (price went up from when I got it at .99)
  • Gator Bait – Featured this on my 12 Days of Christmas and then decided to just go ahead and grab it.  (Still .99)
  • The Clockwork Scarab – Well, it has the sister of Bram Stoker and the niece of Sherlock Holmes in it so I had to get it especially at .99!! 🙂 (Unfortunately, it is no longer on sale)

Interesting mix of freebies, make sure you check to see if they are still free before clicking!

Books read last week

  • The Trouble with Scotland – Sweet, fun and Scottish!!! My favorite contemporary romance set in Scotland and is set in a small Scottish town where the quilting women sort of rule the roost, especially Deydie.
  • Strawberry Shortcake Murder – Second book in this series and I really enjoyed it. I am sure that even with one of my favorite Hallmark men as Mike Kingston that if I would have read these first I might not like the show as much because how did they get Allison Sweeny out of this frizzy red-headed character called Hannah Swenson…shakes head. Still like the show though. 🙂

Currently reading

  • Stalked – Just started last night so don’t know much about it but I am sure I will like it!
  • The Counterfeiter Catching Cat – Short cozy that I should finish soon.
  • Dead Men Don’t Crochet – Second book in the Crochet mysteries and I am about half way through and it’s pretty good. 🙂 Makes me want to crochet while listening!

What might be up next

  1. Lillian @ Mom with a Reading Problem

Yay for last day of classes! I always looked forward to the break between semesters. My brain needed it to recharge. I haven’t checked out your 12 Days of Horror yet, but I’m going to. It sounds awesome! Hope you have a great week 😀

  2. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oooh nice new reads! Lots of new to me ones here but I LOVED The Clockwork Scarab!! I still need to read the third (and last?) book in that series! It was so much fun really! I hope you enjoy all the lovely reads!!

Personally I am not minding the cold! I live in the Midwest where the weather tends to be hot, unbearably hot, hotter still, and then cold. I’ll take cold any day of the week! LOL! Of course there are still those mixed days in between where it might be a little nicer than the hot and hotter…but then it goes back to hot and before you know it the tornado sirens are going off and my anxiety levels go through the roof! So yeah, not fun. I’ll enjoy my winter now I guess! LOL! Hope it doesn’t get too bad for you either!

    Have a GREAT reading week!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

I live in the Midwest too (Missouri) but I don’t mind the heat cause I have air conditioning, but our house is ran by wood heat and I hate going out and having to get wood in the freezing cold and the house is just way too drafty. 🙂

  3. Melanie Simmons @mlsimmons

Moon Called is great on audio. I love Lorelei King. I know that I’m one of those people who loved your 12 Days of Horror. Good luck with your class next semester. I don’t know Illustrator very well. I would love to know more of it. Enjoy

    • Stormi

Yeah, I have listened to Lorelei King before I think and liked her as the name sounds familiar. I am glad you liked my 12 days of horror. 🙂 I don’t know Illustrator at all and I am nervous! 🙂

  4. Laura Thomas

Great haul, Stormi. I spotted a couple new authors too! Your 12 days or horror has been fun. Looking forward to what you share for the last day.

  5. Grace Fonseca

Need to check out your horror posts, I haven’t been on the blogging interweb in a while because I don’t have time but I plan to visit some of those posts today 🙂

Let me enjoy the cold, the spring will be here soon enough 😉

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox

    • Stormi

Hope you enjoy my horror post! 🙂 I wouldn’t mind letting you enjoy the cold if I didn’t have to endure it as well…lol.

  7. Greg

I was enjoying the mild weather too, and man it’s gone now! We have snow everywhere and it’s cold!! Brr.. is it spring yet? I think I’m going to join the Cloak and Dagger challenge, that sounds fun. I’ve almost done it before but I didn’t so any challenges in 2016, but I think I’m ready to try a few.

Moon Called! I’m looking forward to starting that series soon too…

    • Stormi

I guess we have to buckle down and get use to the cold but we don’t have to like it! 🙂 It’s been all misty and nasty today..blah.

  8. Yvonne

I love the books on your list. They look so good. It’s very cold here, but so far no snow. I’m sure that won’t last long. Hope you have a good week!

    • Stormi

Glad you liked my books list. Hope you get in some good reading and the snow stays away. 🙂

  9. Charlie

I’m so glad your courses have gone well so far, Stormi, and don’t be worried about your designer class in the spring. I think you are going to do fine with the instruction you get. I can’t wait to see how well you do!

  10. Cyn @ Book Munchies

Yay for almost being done the semester! And good luck with the class next semester, I’m sure you’ll do awesome!
Look like you have a pretty good haul, enjoy your new books! Happy reading!
