Books I have added
Netgalley
I could say that those two horror novels were all Barb’s from Booker T Farms fault after looking at her stack but I actually had already gotten Bats and so adding Cats Cradle was just the next step…lol. 🙂 Deadly Dog Days is for a blog tour.

Books read last week
- A Deadly Dealer – Book three of The Collectibles Mysteries and this time Molly is in Nashville at the Heart of Dixie auction and it seems she can’t go anywhere without finding a dead body…lol. This one was a good one!
- The Jersey Devil – not for the faint of heart cause it’s a gruesome horror story with a different twist on the creature and I enjoyed it.
- Henry Hunter – A cute middle-grade book about vampires and a unique beast that is suppose to be the original vampire. It was fun.
Currently reading
In a bit of a horror mood and trying to get some reviews set up for October…lol. Trying to fill it up with horror and mystery reviews. 🙂
What might be up next
- Shadow House I am doing a tag team review with Barb from Booker T’s Farm for Oct. You will see our first tag team next week. (Basically we are reading the same book and posting our review at the same time so you get to reviews of the same book on the same day to check out. 🙂 )
- Been trying to get to And the Trees Crept In but kept putting it off but I am determined to read it now…lol.
- An Accidental Death sounded like a good mystery for an Oct. post and first in a series so I am curious. 🙂
I am learning I need to be better organized for things I want to do on specific months…next year is going to be different! I hope. 🙂
How was your week? What did you get?
You have had a really busy week reviewing and reading – impressive with work and being back in the classroom:). Hope this coming week is a good one for you and not TOO busy.
I have a few post blogged ahead so that helps and then Kathy always have about two or three post on here so that helps too. If not for that it might be a bit bare. 🙂
We need to chat when you finish And the Trees Crept In because I need to talk to someone about that book.
I am going to keep a close eye on The Jersey Devil and if the mood hits I might get it both you and barb wrote great reviews and I might want to read it. 🙂
Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! oxox
I will make sure I get that one done then so we can chat. 🙂 I know you said it was a strange one so I am curious about it. 🙂 I think you would like Jersey Devil, but since your from Jersey I can see that might be a bit on the spooky side…lol.
OOoh nice new reads! These are basically all new to me ones! Lol! Hope you enjoy each and every one of them!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
Great progress with reviews! I’m so behind right now!
I’m looking forward to seeing what you think about ‘And the Trees Crept In’!
Stacy Renee @ Lazy Day Literature
I am trying to keep up, if I get more than a couple reviews behind I forget what to write. 🙂
I have Deadly Dog Days too but received it a while ago. I pulled out Shadow House last night so it would be close by come October. Glad school is going well. It is finally raining here today and I hope it lasts all afternoon. I’m in the middle of The Family Plot and really liking it.
Shadow house is staring at me with that scary cover saying read me read me…lol. I am almost tempted to read it now and change my read order…lol. Glad you are liking Family Plot, it sounds good.
I’m going to go grab Devour ASAP! LOL Sorry I haven’t been by this weekend. Internet went out Friday night and just now getting back on line. Ugh! Glad to hear things are good with you, Stormi! How did you like The jersey devil? Just gave my copy to Sherry and we do want to try to tag team reviews with ya’ll!
Regarding The Jersey Devil, we had planned for our Tag review to be tomorrow. I think I told you the 19th, but maybe I didn’t. So I am not sure if Sherri would have it read and ready by tomorrow. So do you still want to tag with us?
Ooh, too scary for me! Horror is not my thing…and just one glance at Bats scared me silly. LOL. There’s a story there, involving two bats, on two separate occasions, that flew into my house in the foothills and required help from my son getting them out.
Freaky.
So…steering clear of those books, but I hope you enjoy them. Have a great week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Yeah, horror is not for everyone. I grew up on it though so I like it. 🙂 I am hoping Bats is a bit on the scary side…like animal horror books and movies…lol. Having a bat in the house would be a bit scary…lol.
You definitely had a busy week from the reviews!! Hope you have another great week 😀 Curious to hear what you think about The Trees Crept In. It looks interesting to me…
It’s been busy, wouldn’t be so bad but those stupid papers in English class are killing me cause I don’t have enough time to write so I do them in a few hours and hope they are half way good…lol.
I will do without the horror, thank you. We don’t mix well. So glad classes are going well for you! I am (years off, mind you) considering going back to school. It would have to be after I move next summer and most definitely mean I have to move down to elementary.
Ah well, horror is not for everyone. 🙂 Mysteries are also good for this time of year! 🙂
Oops my comment went… somewhere. lol I think I said… Cat’s Cradle looks freaky and I think I might get Chills. After seeing your thoughts I kind want to read that one.
Cat’s Cradle does look pretty freaky! 🙂 Hope you enjoy Chills if you get it!
your books look super creepy! This is the best time of year for those but I am still too chicken to read anything that is actually scary!
Have a wonderful week!
Horror is not for everyone! 🙂 Have a great week!
Such great books on your list! Enjoy and have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by!
So many good looking books. I just borrowed a copy of Jersey Devil from Laura and am looking forward to digging into it this week. 🙂
I hope you enjoy The Jersey Devil!
I’m starting to get in the mood for horror stories too. Halloween is coming and I want more horror in my stories. I have to decide which horror story I want next. Maybe Joe Hill.
I haven’t read a Joe Hill book, I admit to starting one and then got distracted and never finished. I have his Fireman book so I need to read it. 🙂
Hello Ms Stormi! I’m really glad classes is going well and you’re getting something out of them.
Cats Cradle looks a bit tempting but a bit creepy….
Yeah, I am learning a lot. Trying to get better at English for my writing so really trying to pay attention to grammar, but the grammar part is online so not what I was hoping but I am trying to get it to stick in my head. It just doesn’t seem to want too…lol.
I love the title for Dead and Kicking! Lol! I’ve heard great things about And the Trees Crept In. That one’s gotten a lot of buzz. I hope it’s another busy, but good week even with school and you enjoy your reads!
I have heard good things about those Creepy trees too…lol. That is what I call it the Creepy tree book. 🙂 Well, now lets not make me to busy…hehehe. 🙂
I was just thinking today I might try a horror in the run up to Halloween- not a genre I read really so will check out some of the books on your list.
