The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.
Busy week! School is getting a bit busier now with writing short papers for English and lots of little projects in my computer class. I am really glad now that I only have two classes! Then there is work when I am not in school and so it’s a bit hectic around here and I am wondering how on earth I ever managed to do a full class load and work before when I was younger…lol.
I am finding it easier to listen to audiobooks than read my ebooks right now, but try and take an hour before bed to read on my ebooks (just wish I read faster!). The audios I can listen to while doing computer projects online…lol. I also have some audios I listen to on my phone and take them to school since I have some time between classes that I walk around the campus and listen to my audio. 🙂
Other than that not much going on here. 🙂

Books I have added
Netgalley
Netgalley got me this week! lol
- The Jekyll Revelation – Couldn’t pass this one up as it mentions Jekyll and Hyde and Jack the Ripper in the blurb…lol.
- Semi Sweet Hereafter – Third book in the Chocolate Whisper Mysteries and it reminds me I need to read book two!
- Dresden Files: Wild Card – A Dresden graphic novel! I read another graphic novel for this series and enjoyed it so couldn’t help but grab up another.
- Twilight Zone: The Shadow – I have listened to the Shadow on the computer as it was a radio show. This graphic novel mixes it up a bit as it is the Twilight zone…lol. Sounds fun.
- A Feast of Sorrows – Collection of dark fairy tales and sounded perfect a fall graphic novel.
Print from publisher
- More Than Magic – Sounds like a cute MG read where a cartoon character comes out of the tv and ask the MC for help.
Bought (kindle)
Got some .99 books.
- One Spoonful of Trouble -It just sounded cute and I have had my eye on it for a while. 🙂
- Gretel – I need some more spooky reads!
- A Charming Ghost – Well this is like book 9 and I haven’t even read book one..but I have it. I figured grab them up while on sale and eventually I will have them all…I like this author. 🙂
Books read last week
So it seems to be easier to get through audios right now than my ebooks…at least I am still getting in some good stories. 🙂
- A Story to Kill – First in a new series by Lynn Cahoon. She is one of my fav. authors so I was excited to get to this one and it was really good! 🙂 Review on Monday!
- Hearse and Garden – Second book in the Hampton Home and Garden mystery and just as good as the first one!
- Hidden Deceptions – Book nine in the Shelby Nichols series and it was so much fun! Seriously if you haven’t tried this fun cozy adventure mystery series then you need to do so now! 🙂

How was your week? What did you get?
OOh nice new reads! Totally new to me ones! Hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
Netgalley got you this week? Netgalley gets you every week. 😉
I need to go check out Gretel or at least wait to see what you think. I love when they take fairytales and turn them to horror. That story is already scary.
I am glad school is going good but sorry it is keeping you so busy 🙁 Like I tell my kids, just do your best and don’t stress yourself out.
Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox
Miss you and Scot says Hi! 🙂
Okay, so maybe I should have said it got me worse than normal. I have been trying to not add that many…lol.
Miss you too!!!! Tell Scot I said Hi! 🙂
Yeah, I know what you mean about audios being easier to get through – I read twice as many audios as physical reads these days. Loved Shelby! (I reviewed this week on the blog) she never let’s me down! I’m glad school and work are going well – being busy is a good thing as long as it’s not TOO busy. I know, I wonder how I ever did full time classes, a full tim job and a part time job. I did though, and was a step mom at the same time. Geez, I should never complain about being busy these days lol! Have a great week 🙂
Yeah, it is so much easier. It seems like almost all of my reads last month were audios…lol. I loved the new Shelby novel and now I need to find time to review it…lol.
Have a great week!
So many good books. I need to check out Chills. Finished Jersey Devil and going to get my copy to Sherry now. Creepy good.
I am enjoying The Jersey Devil, it’s a bit different than I imagined but a good different…lol. 🙂
OK. I have to admit it, I had to go and grab Gretel. I think next week it’s my turn to enable you. I read the first chapter of The Jersey Devil this morning and it seems like it might go pretty quickly. I think I may also have to check out A Feast of Sorrows, but I’m not sure. Glad you are getting into the school/work rhythm. This week was pretty hectic for me as well so hopefully this coming week is a tad slower. Have a great week!
Ha ha, I am sure you will turn the tables on me next week…lol. 🙂 I am enjoying The Jersey Devil, it’s just getting time to read it…lol. I think I am about half done so I hope to get it down soon. 🙂
I also think the same thing about high school. I was in softball and track and I know we’d stay every day at the track until 6 or 6:30 in the evening and every weekend I was gone for softball tournaments. I don’t know how I got any of my schoolwork done. I think the same when I had a 15 hour class load and working. It’s better to do little and manageable than overboard and overwhelmed. Good luck! You can do it! I am also struggling with reading time. I’m going to have to start listening to audiobooks more.
Oh when we were young it was like we could do anything…now it’s like…oh my goodness I need more sleep and time in a day…lol. 🙂
Yeah it’s amazing how much actual work we did in college isn’t it? I can’t even imagine a full course load now… A Feast of Sorrows looks awesome, I LOVE that cover. Perfect for this time of year. Chills and Brightwood look scary too…
I know I am glad I only have the two classes…lol. Next semester I will probably only have one but that is due to money…taking one graphic design class next semester comes with a hefty $200 art fee! Gah..at least having only one class I can put all my effort into it. 🙂 I just have to make it through this semester…lol.
I hope the books I am picking out are spooky…lol…I need spooky! 🙂
A Feast of Sorrows looks so good! I wasn’t a huge fan of My Fair Princess. I couldn’t get into it :/ Hopefully you have better luck!
Oh no, that one is from one of my favorite authors so I hope I like it! Guess I will find out soon. 🙂
NetGalley gets me so very often! Hope you have a great week!
It gets me often too…lol.
I’ve been finding it harder to listen to audios lately, but I think I need to listen to non-fiction. I listen to audios in the car and fiction is hard to list to. LOL Hope you have a great week!
Yeah, sometimes the fiction ones can get you when your driving…I listened to a James Patterson one time..and they started shooting and glass was breaking…bout scared me…lol.
In the midst of my busy schedule I’ve found audiobooks are a big help, and yes before I go to bed I am able to slip in a few pages here and there from my ebooks and physicals. Enjoy your week!!
Ah yes, to be young and have tons of energy again. Are you enjoying your classes though? Yay for audiobooks! They come in so handy.
Even though you are very busy, it’s sounds like you are enjoying yourself. 🙂
Whenever I try audiobooks I struggle to keep the story in my head. I think if I read them before bed I would just fall asleep and never know what is going on in a book!
Yes Stormi..when I was going to school I worked full time, socialized, belonged to clubs and even found time to date..I have no idea how I managed that!!! Ah to be twenty-three again.
Are you enjoying your classes Stormi? It sounds as if you are, but sorry things are so hectic!
Don’t stress too much about it all!
Deb
School sounds good, Stormi, even if it makes you feel a bit busy and hectic at times. I’m sure you’ll do well, and you’ll be very happy with yourself 😉
Your new books look good and I hope you’ll enjoy them.
Have a wonderful rest of the week and happy reading and listening.
You’re busy, as always, and like me. 🙂 I need to read another Janet Evanovich book as it’s been a while. I have a few ARCs, so I have no excuse. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
It sure sounds like those classes are a lot of work and it’s good you only have two of them so it stays doable. It’s good you still have some time to listen to books even though you can’t find as much time to read ebooks.
More Than Magic sounds intriguing! I hope it’s good. Those 0.99$ sales are great. There is an author where I also own quite some of her books thanks to 0.99$ sales, but haven’t read quite a lot of them yet. Have a great week!
