Review

I am going to start this review with a disclaimer that if you haven’t read the first one there could be spoilers. Also, I didn’t plan my books well and reading this after coming away from The Stand that bored me to tears another apocalyptic style book wasn’t what I was in the mood for and could alter my thoughts on this book. 🙁

I won’t lie that about about 80 pages in I was about to throw in the towel as it just wasn’t interesting me, but I told myself to give it a bit more time and I am glad I did because once Wyatt and the gang started getting shot at it picked up. 🙂

So this one starts pretty close after what happened in Monsterland. It seems the world is in a bit of chaos because the world leaders where at the Monsterland theme parks when the monsters revolted and started killing everyone. Wyatt and his friend volunteer to go and try and find out what is going on in a nearby town and that is when things get interesting.

It seems that the evil Vincent had a plan B set up incase things went bad with his first plan to take over the world and now this one involves mummies and a bunch of ooze that pretty much disintegrates you!

I really like Wyatt and most of his friends but of course there is that one person that you just really want to die and there was no exception in this group.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty decent follow up to Monsterland even if I thought it had a bit of a slow start. If you like theme park disaster type books then I would suggest you read the first book in this series then give this one a try.

Loving the cover on this one. I really enjoyed the first one and will probably read this eventually – once The Stand has been erased from my mind. I think the playlist addition is pretty cool too!
