Spring, 1889. Months have passed since Whitechapel was covered in blood, and while the mystery surrounding Jack The Ripper goes cold, Inspector Frederick Abberline is still a man obsessed. But when a series of killings identical to the Ripper's occur in Paris, Abberline must risk everything to close history's most famous murder case once and for all!
Reprinting French publisher Soleil's classic Jack the Ripper in English for the first time!

I have always been interested in the whole Jack the Ripper story even doing a paper on him in my college English class on who I thought he really was, so I found this graphic novel to be very interesting.

What I thought of this book

This was a very different take on Jack the Ripper. This story is about a Scotland Yard Detective Aberline and his quest to find Jack the Ripper. What he finds spans more than just England but it took him to France in pursuit of someone else who sounded a lot like the ripper.

It was a very interesting concept and made for an interesting story. It had more than one ripper and a very surprising ending. Overall, I thought it was a good story.

Note about the graphics, this was my first graphic novel that had nudity and sex in it. So that was a bit different…lol. So I thought I should mention it in case it’s not something you want in your graphic novels. It was actually a bit weird cause I really saw no need for it that who ever made the story up and everything wanted to throw some sex in there.

If you like stories about Jack the Ripper then you might like this and the over all story was different and interesting.

  1. I should try this one. I’ll have to see if my library has it. I would love to read a story on Jack the Ripper. I’ve only read graphic novels that were part of a series that I read the novels (like Patricia Briggs, Kelly Armstrong or Laurell K Hamilton).
