MyTBRList-1024x661My TBR List is a meme hosted by Michelle at Because Reading. It’s a fun way to make yourself read a book each month off of your TBR pile. The first Saturday we vote on a book out of three listed, the second Saturday we reveal the winner and on the Last Saturday of the month we post our review. So come on and join the fun and for more information about it head on over to Michelle’s blog!

So I have a lot of books I really want to read this month and I am having a hard time figuring out which one of these three to read first. So I am going to have you decide for me! 🙂 Help a gal out and pick my read for me! You check them out and you will see why I am having such a problem. 🙂

My Picks for this Month

A modern, multi-generational tale of Kendra, the witch from “Snow White,” who trains Violet, an ugly, lonely, and heartbroken girl in the 1980s who transforms herself into “the fairest one of all” but still cannot win Greg’s heart, and Celine, Greg’s daughter with Violet’s high school rival, Jennifer.

When Demons threaten Regency London, only a Lady can stop them.

Lillian Dellacourt is beautiful, refined and absolutely lethal. She’s also the most feared and merciless demon hunter in The Company. She’s come a long way from the penniless seamstress’s daughter sold to the highest bidder, and it wasn’t by trusting a man, let alone an exiled Marquis with more on his mind than slaying the hellspawn.

For Dorian Lambert, Marquis de Montalembert, being sent to keep track of Lillian is no mean task. He’s wanted the fiery vixen since he first heard of her five years ago. But wooing the lady while fighting the demon uprising is no easy feat, especially when the lady’s tongue is as sharp as the Japanese sai blades she favors for eviscerating the spawn of hell.

These two will have to learn to trust each other fast, because the demon master is back, and he’s planning to turn Edinburgh into a living hell…

Damage Done

22 minutes separate Julia Vann’s before and after.

Before: Julia had a twin brother, a boyfriend, and a best friend.

After: She has a new identity, a new hometown, and memories of those twenty-two minutes that refuse to come into focus. At least, that’s what she tells the police.

Now that she’s Lucy Black, she’s able to begin again. She’s even getting used to the empty bedroom where her brother should be. And her fresh start has attracted the attention of one of the hottest guys in school, a boy who will do anything to protect her. But when someone much more dangerous also takes notice, Lucy’s forced to confront the dark secrets she thought were safely left behind.

One thing is clear: The damage done can never be erased. It’s only just beginning. . . .

So help me figure out which one to read first!! Please!!! 🙂

I am curious about that one, I have read this author before and she has a interesting way of mashing some fairy tales

  1. Okay that was seriously hard. After reading each description I was like, “okay, this is the one”… until I read the next description! Geez they all sound good. So I decided based on what I’ve read recently LOL – I’ve read a fairytale retelling and I’ve read a book where the characater has hazy memories so …. Deception won! LOL Can’t wait to see which one wins!

It’s winning so far! It’s the one I thought might win so I will be interested to see if it does or not. 🙂

  2. I voted Damage Done- I’ve seen it around, it looks good, and I’m curious about those 22 minutes LOL! Looks like a good thriller. Morrored looks good too, though.

  3. I voted for Mirrored as I like the cover and how the mirror doesn’t relfect the face of the girl holding it. I read a great review for Damage Done recently, so that one sounds good as well. I hope you’ll enjoy whichever one wins.

I know it’s I have them on on my to read this month list but was having a hard time with which one to read first..looks like Mirrored will win.

  4. I voted Damage Done. Mirrored doesn’t appeal to me-spin offs of fairy tales rarely do. Hope you read the one you want to 🙂
