My TBR List: February ~Let’s Vote!
My TBR List is a meme hosted by Michelle at Because Reading. It’s a fun way to make yourself read a book each month off of your TBR pile. The first Saturday we vote on a book out of three listed, the second Saturday we reveal the winner and on the Last Saturday of the month we post our review. So come on and join the fun and for more information about it head on over to Michelle’s blog!
My Picks for this Month
Shh…it’s a secret!
Special ops expert Trig Sinclair is a man’s man, and that means he knows the cardinal rule of the bro code—no matter how dynamite Lena West is, as his best friend’s younger sister, she’s strictly off-limits!
But when a secret mission to Istanbul sees Lena and Trig pretending to be married (and sharing a bed!), he finds himself in a whole new world of sweet torture…. But if Trig thinks playing the honor-bound hero is tough, it’s got nothing on how Lena feels when she discovers what her “groom” is really hiding….
I have had this one for a while and I need to review it. I just hate when I accidentally get a series book and it’s not the first one..I don’t care if it can be read alone I just like doing them in order. 🙁
What’s the harm in a little white lie?
Especially when it could carry so much good: a new life for a wounded soldier, catharsis after long years of war—and an opportunity for lady composer Olivia Delancey to finally hear her music played in public.
Newspaper publisher Will Marsh refuses to compound the sins of his father’s generation by taking money to print propaganda. But with the end of the wars in France and America, he needs something new to drive Londoners to grab his paper first. Why not publish the score of the “Tune That Took Waterloo,” by a wounded vet, no less?
As Olivia struggles to keep her secrets from this unsuitably alluring publisher, and Will fights to find the truth without losing his hold on this bright-eyed angel who has descended into his life, both discover another sort of truth.
Being the talk of London can be bad—or very, very good.
Had this one a while too and need to review it. Sounds good so not sure why I skipped it.
Revenge never tasted so sweet…
When Clayton Campbell shows up on her doorstep, Olivia Swift is stunned. For long ago, Clayton was the boy who stole her heart. He’s also the man her betrayal had sent to the gallows. A man she believed dead, now standing before her, looking leaner, harder, more powerful than ever, his haunted eyes filled with a lust she had never seen—for vengeance…
Or burned so hot…
He’s a Crown spy who once faced death and escaped unscathed. Yet Clayton Campbell cannot deny that the sight of Olivia rouses in him something more than a thirst for revenge. Or that the bold beauty would lure him once more into a dangerous game. Only this time, Clayton plans to be the victor—with the tempting Olivia in his bed as his prize. But once passion ignites between them, the hard-hearted agent will face his greatest battle yet—for his heart…
Another old book for review that I didn’t get too and I did it again with this one as it’s the second book in a series. I have since learnt to check Goodreads before clicking request..lol.
So which one of these romances do you think I should try?
